Most Recent Posts Further adventures of mamaPosted Jul-17-08 04:06:51 PDT Hi thanks to all of you for your response to my last message, particularly http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/treasured.dragonfly1913 who I could really identify with. I have not got the hang of replying to individuals but will once I get my head round it. The other day mum, who is diabetic, found my hidden stash of chocolates. Her blood sugar had been up for a couple of days and I couldn't understand why. On the third night I found chocolate wrappers in her roon. She said that "Patches" my cat had eaten them and planted the evidence in her room. I did not realise that my cat could open a large fridge, smell out the chocs, open the cripser draw, keep the door open, open the chocolates, make his selection, close the choccies, cripser and fridge draw. Eat the choccies and then leave the evidence in another room. I had to laugh. It brought a whole new meaning to the word cat-burglar! Signing off for now .... who knows what the next instalment will be. A day in the life of .........Posted Jul-12-08 07:00:57 PDT I look after my mum who has dementia. While I am at work, a carer pops in to check on her, give her something to eat and make sure she has her meds. Yesterday, when I got home I found a note from the carer saying that mum had rung 999 because she had no milk and the milk man did not arrive until 2pm. I wouldn't mind but we had a flood recently and she sat there waiting for me to come home. It would have been great if she had dialled 999 then! First Blog ........Posted Jul-10-08 02:43:21 PDT This is my first blog ever, so I'm not sure what to put - here goes. I've got the day off work, so am borrowing the computer at the library. I had hoped for better weather so I could sit outside with a cold drink and have a read. Well, you can hope can't you. I'm currently reading Mascarade by Terry Practhett, its a really good send up of the opera world - really enjoying it. Looking forward to reading any replies, and looking through other blogs.
