In late May of 2007 I called a couple of good friends and asked them to come over, I had an idea to share. That afternoon we talked a lot about the many posibilities that could become of this tiny thought. Then over the weeks as everything simply fell into place Academy of Spirit was born.

Soon, before we really knew what was happening, we had an office that was perfect, we couldn't have desinged it any more perfect if we had tried. We had the most prefect name and the URL was available! We had a lot of local people who said this idea is amazing - go for it! We even had the money we needed to get the first many months off the ground covered in what seemed like a miracle.

We started studying about how to use a video camera, we did know a little bit, but not enough to feel comfortable. We also learned about studio lighting and video editing. We had many lessons in the limitations of the internet. Our website designers told us that the internet couldn't support our idea of hour long video classes. But we told them that we were SURE there was an answer - and we just kept looking.

Now, seven months later we have a beautiful website with, as of today, nineteen videos on it. And we have many very happy customers who have purchased, downloaded, watch and learned from the many presenters on our website. The site was live and worked well in September, it is now only about 10 weeks old.

All the while we have continued to learn and grow ourselves. We have traveled all over the country in the last few weeks meeting great people and asking if they have something to share with the world. We have found many who do and you will soon find their videos on the website too.

Where is all this going? We don't know...................

But what we do know is that it is the right time and the right place for an online video learning tool so that people all over the world can have access to great classes that used to be only available to the few who lived near the instructor. Or, the fewer still who could afford to travel to take the class. Now, we can all have access to great ideas, experiences and opportunities through online video presentations.
