WARNING: With less than 15 hours left to go in this auction, da Schmoo has developed a fixed dellusion that if her teeth do not sell, she will get to have them put back in her mouth. I assured her that there are over 10 watchers here and that Schmoo Teeth are a hard to come by item in great demand.

That said, Schmoo is meowing that she will not let her teeth get out the door without a month supply of tuna and catnip- aka "da 'nip." (The source of said demanded items appears to be inconsequential.) She is upset with me for offering her teeth at such a low bid and is questioning my valuation of her as a pet,  my skills as a business woman, and my existence on earth in general.  

I should be able to keep her from attacking your feet in want of tuna and 'nip. But fair warning, she can still bite.

just a general announcement- 4 hours left in the very last 2 lots of 7. when these are gone, ALL the battletech cards will have left the building.

When i was an undergrad in the late 90s, one assignment was to write 5 screenplay proposals from which our prof would then pick one to develop. I proposed a story of a chaotic evil psychotic D&D player who "becomes" his character and starts killing his fellow campaign members. Sadly, my prof wrote, "dungeons and dragons is over, pick another game." Ouch.

This is how i felt this week as i read the obits of Gary Gygax. Muddled in at middle-to-end of lists such as GameSpy's "30 most influential people in Gaming," for example.  A skeletal obit in the NY Times. Ouch.

The fact that D&D was the RPG which predated the internet by approximately 20 years and in most people's brains of that same age or older, Dungeons and Dragons is synonomous w the term is enough of props in my mind to put Gygax in at least the top quartile of any list rating games, gamers, influential people or strategists.

He did make the list for  "#1 Nerd" of all time in an independant online 'zine. Perhaps if he was rated "#1 Geek" my screenplay proposal would have been better received. Perhaps even funded.

later today she is having a THIRD dental consult with a specialist.

her gums and teeth are very infected. one vet wants to pull them ALL out, another do more scraping and today . . . we'll see . . . . i am so sad and stressed about it and feel like a bad "schmoo mommy."

and for good guilt increasing measure, i am going on vacation day after tomorrow.

her name is "da schmoo." it used to be zelda but then i changed it within the first year because she is "schmooey" and not very princess like (but i mean that in a cute lovable way!)

she's an 8 year old domestic short hair tortis shell missing her 2 top front teeth.
