I've been searching and researching for costumes, etc. for a big event this summer. My husband and I are celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary with a HUGE PARTY!

We are going to have a Renaissance themed Vow Renewal ceremony in our backyard under our wonderful gazebo. I'm on the look out for decorations now for the backyard event since I've finally found all pieces for the 5 people that will be in costume for the day.

Here's what I've found on eBay so far:

• Renaissance themed Fan favors (hot here in July)
• Wildflower seed thank you favors
• Chemise for me & my "lady in waiting"
• Court dress for me in tan & hunter green
• Merchant class dress for the lady in waiting in hunter green & navy blue
• Lovely blue dress with "Angel wing" sleeves for the minister
• Court Doublet & breeches for my husband in tan & hunter green
• Merchant class Tunic for "man at arms" in navy blue & hunter green
• Black velvet breeches for the man at arms
• Bun roll headpiece with veil for our minister friend
• French style hood for my lady in waiting
• Circlet for myself
• Dress for our daughter who will be our flower girl in hunter green
• Flower head wreath for our flower girl
• Monogram cake topper
• Brown knee-high "Pirate" boots for hubby

There are a few things I'm still on the "lookout" for:

• Daggers for the men
• Belts for the men
• Ladyslippers for me
• Bodice jewelry for me
• Jewelry girdles for the women
• Basket for the flower girl
• Possible centerpieces for the tables
• Hat for the man at arms
• Unity candle set
• Printed napkins
• Renaissance/Baroque music for background ambience

My husband and I have endured many tough hurdles in our marriage and relationship in the past 10 years. That is why we decided to celebrate making it to the landmark with a big party shared with family and friends. We know several people who didn't make it to 10 years of wedded bliss. And we were on a cliff for awhile thinking it was possible we wouldn't make it either. But, we did! And we are going to CELEBRATE!!
