Most Recent Posts Update on my morning dilemma. Please look at my previous blogPosted Aug-17-08 10:38:13 PDT I just got off the phone with E-Bay. I talked to a nice and helpful lady named Brandy. After reading the buyers feedbacks she agreed to go by my gut feeling and take a proactive stance before the buyer decides to pay. She said to send the buyer a nice e-mail telling him the auction stated I do not sell outside the U.S. (which I normally do, but not in this auction). Then I should immediately file an unpaid item dispute and ask for a mutual withdrawel. If the buyer does not respond after 8 days the transaction is history. If he does not agree and leaves me negative feedback I can get it removed since the auction state U.S. only. She also mentioned that my shipping and buyer requirements were not syncronized and I had to change the setting so this will not happen again. I just hope the buyer is decent enough to agree to the withdrawel and I do not have the hassle of removing a negative feedback. Thanks to all of you for your input. I am posting this because some of you asked for a followup! Have a great Sunday! (and YES, I blocked the buyer since all my other auctions are world wide! I need help PLEASEPosted Aug-17-08 09:20:47 PDT I just sold a book to someone in Japan. It was a heavy coffee table book weighing over 4 pounds. The postage was $36.00. I sell a lot of items internationally without problems but did NOT list the book outside the U.S. because of the weight. I sent the buyer an invoice and then checked his or her feedback. I think I am in big trouble. Apparently the buyer will blackmail people and leaves negative feedback or does not pay. He had 7 negatives. My feedback after 8 years is 100% with no negatives and franky I do not want to complete this transaction at all. I am about to panic. What would YOU do? Can anyone here help me how to get out of this transaction without a lot of hassle? Any input would be GREATLY appreciated. Thank you kindly! |
