I've passed the hurdle... next benchmark is 50 stars, but I'll have to find time to get back to the torch first!

Hopefully soon, mid-terms are next week, then I should have some free time to be artistic again!

Just sitting back watching football this morning. My fantasy team isn't doing much yet, but that seems to be the way it goes early. It's so nice to sit back! I took the SAT 1 yesterday... so the entire week was devoted to studying for that (aside from my other homework). Doing nothing just feels great!

I just went to see the Kingdom last night. It was amazing. Riveting. Intense.

I highly recommend anyone, who can handle an emotionally intense movie with fighting, go see it!

The message was powerful--and realavent to us today, considering the Iraq war. Some of it was filmed with handheld cameras--especially the fight seens. My bf had to stand in the aisle (since we came in as the movie started and the only seats were in the front) it was difficult for him to watch close up... although I didn't have any problems. The filming was excellent--I felt emotionally drawn in. The acting was great-and the script was superb. It's certainly Oscar worthy--even though it won't likely get one because it will be lumped into the "action" genre.

I'm still a little shaky. I opened the door wondering who could be out there banging so forcefully. I didn't even tie my bathrobe, just wrapped it securely around my body.

Through my screen door I saw two plain clothes officers. One had his deputy badge open and his other hand on his gun. I had done nothing wrong, but the threatening stance caused my hands to shake. It's been 20 minutes since they left and I'm still shaky.

They were looking for some guy I've never seen. They showed me a photo. My name was on their paperwork too, simply because this guy has listed my house as his active address, and I am the renter here. They showed me his photo and asked if I knew him, but of course I didn't. Then they told me his full name and I was suprised that I had heard the name. I stepped outside and took a closer look at the paper.

I knew the mans name because his mail has been delivered to my house for the last year that I've lived here. I've gotten so irritated about it that I started writing long notes demanding that the companies fix thier records and stop sending mail to my address--that he doesn't and didn't live here. I've probably written that on at least 50 envelopes over the last year.

So I wasn't much help to the officers. I let them come in and search my house to appease them. Then I pointed to a neighbors house and said that was my landlord. That maybe the guy they were looking for was a previous tennent (which would explain the excessive amount of mail that came to my house).

So much for sleeping in on a Saturday morning. LOL. My poor cats (who are terrified of strangers) are still slinking around looking to see if the strangers are in any of the corners.

Can anyone explain why, when you have sold, shipped, recieved and given feedback on an item, does it show up as being available for a 2nd chance offer? 

Time to sit at the torch for a couple of hours... make a few beads and internalize the lessons of the day. It's only the first week of classes... and granted I haven't had any for a couple of months... But I am really enjoying my schedule this year. My art history professor is amazing, and the public speaking course is going to be a great learning experience for me. I think back to two years ago when i first went back to college... You wouldn't have caught me within 20 feet of a microphone. And now I holt an elected position and I spoke in front of 300-400 students yesterday. Wowsers!!

anyways... had 9 hours of classes today, so I need to play with the beads some before I get back to the calculus!

I called them out of the blue today. And it made me miss them so much. It's been two years since I've been in my home state, and about 6 or 7 since I've spent any length of time there.

It was so wonderful to chat with grandma and grandpa. he's going to be 80 this december... it's so hard to beleive!!!

I spent every weekend with them when I was growing up, so the two years really feel like 10.

This note is to honor all of the special moments I've been lucky enough to share with my grandparents. Please feel free to comment in honor or memory of your distant family.

School started again this week, and it looks like it will be a busy quarter again. Hopefully I'll still be able to produce some stuff for my eBay account. I would assume that these next couple of months are the best time for sales as the holidays are just a few months away.

I'm excited to be back in school actually. I am very involved in the student government, and gave a speech today. It was my first public speech and there were around 300-400 students present. Somehow I managed to say everything that I wanted to say without any big bloopers. Yay!

I'm looking forward to this upcoming academic year, and I sure hope I can be crafty while taking 20 units and working and all that happy stuff.
