Some 'firsts' ...

Listed my first OIL ACEO (2.5x3.5 Art Trading Card). I hated the time spent waiting for it to dry so I could scan it. I just wish the scan looked as good as the painting.

I've got another one to scan and list, but have to wait until it's drier.

My next problem will be shipping if they sell. Both turned out lovely so if they don't sell, they will be 'keepers'.

Other first - listing some 'old' acrylics of mine. Teacups. I love teacups SO dearly, and these are no exception. When I had my art gallery these were 'sold' several times - but the buyers never came back with the money as promised. Now one is sold, and I am much surer of getting the money this time. HA!

I'd like to do some more teacups. It might be better for me to do some larger work for a while as ACEOs are about the only art I've done for the past year.

Finally finished - my last commission - boxer dog, watercolor

I hate doing commissions.

I procrastinate (I know this, because it's then that I find myself doing housework instead of painting!), I suffer angst, and it's just not worth it. But this one was for a girl I work with, for her mother.

I nearly ruined it. I was going to have a minimal background, but ended up doing the whole thing! It wasn't until I put it in a cream and gold double mount/mat, that it all seemed 'ok'. It took me hours. It's about 9.5x13".

"Max" (sorry it's a bad photo!)

Now I can get on with doing the art work I want to do. I need to get some ACEOs done, and listed. I promised a 'big cat' ACEO for a big charity auction and need to have that done by Sunday. Tomorrow I'm excited to be attending an 'altered book' class. Even though I used to teach these nearly 13 years ago, I'm looking forward to doing one in a class environment. The ownere of the store have asked me to bring along some of my ACEOs to show the others there. Things like this stretch your creativity. I take my artwork far to seriously, so this is 'fun' time for me. :)

A 'work' day today.

Blah.

Work today. :( Still, yesterday I was home, and got nothing constructive done. One of my 3 Renaissance women sold. None of my other items sold, either. I 'm not sure about relisting the unsold work as sales seem a little slow at the moment for ACEOs.

I'm still procrastinating over the dog portrait commission I'm supposed to be doing.

Hope you all have a great ebay day!

Renaissance art cards.

I currently have 3 Renaissance ladies up as art cards, and they are closing soon. I'm wanting to do more, as they are very detailed and indicative of my larger works, but wondering about the lack of attention. It may be the time of year, or even being flooded by the 20 cent listing day. Anyway, if anyone reads this, I'd love for you to take a peek. The 'magic orb' has a glaze of iridescent watercolor, so quite magical to look at.

Thanx.

Welcome to my world.

It's here, so I'll use it.

Welcome to my world of art. My life has revolved around art for as long as I can remember. I often say, an artist is not what I am, it's WHO I am. Especially as for so much of my life, I didn't do any.

Ebay has opened up a world of art that I perhaps have more outlet for my own creativity than ever before, and mostly love the interaction with other artists, and watching them grow and glow as artists in their own right.

Until I get more time, just wanted to post a welcome.
