New Discussion Group for Jewelry and Gemstones

I've heard nothing new. It could be that they are going to announce another name for it, but there would be some discussion first, and AFAIK that isn't happening in the mineralogical circles where that would be decided. Currently, a stone is either Andesine or Labradorite, depending on the ratio of Calcium to Sodium it contains. The chances of any single stone being both Andesine and Labradorite are out of the realm of possibility. The stone is either Andesine or Labradorite. The term Andesine-Labradorite is just a marketing tool used by the gem industry. It also lets them off the hook for determining whether each stone is Andesine or Labradorite (which I can see would be difficult when talking about a large volume of stones). The announcement, whatever it is, might also turn out to be all hype, too. There is quite a bit of that around, too ;-)
