Most Recent Posts Bad/Fraudulent SellersPosted Dec-04-08 17:02:10 PST Recently, I am having horrible buying experience at ebay. It has made me think that is it just me or the ebay doesn't have any reliable, genuine sellers anymore. Within last two weeks I made 2 purchases online and both had turned out disasters; one sellers didn't ship the advertised product and the second seller didn't even bother to ship anything at all. First vendor, Memory Suppliers, deals in computer memories and I happened to win a bid from them. In the bid they advertised a name brand (Samsung) product and charge accordingly, however, the product I received was totally different which you can buy for a much cheaper price. Not only the product was wrong but they didn't bother to notify me the tracking number of the shipment until I wrote an email. Thankfully, I got my money refunded. Second vendor, Wireless Experts, deals in cell phones as the name suggests. I purchased a phone from their advertised bid worth $300. They claim to ship the product within 1 business day after receiving the payment but I haven't received any tracking information whatsoever even after 6 days. I wrote about 7-8 emails to enquire but didn't get any reply. They also claim to have a LIVE customer rep, therefore, I called the provided number but I never spoke to any LIVE reps. I left voice messages but never received any reply. Finally, someone called me just to say "sorry, i was in business meeting, so I could not reply to your emails and voice messages" and hung up the phone. I reported this matter to ebay and Better Business Bureau as well. I am still waiting for my refund from these idiots. To conclude, I stand by my statement that ebay doesn't have reliable and genuine sellers anymore. One has to take chances to have a pleasent and worry free experience at ebay. But I will appeal to buyers to IGNORE these two (2) vendors for sure. |
