I have just completed and listed a new painting for AutismSpeaks.org.  This painting is of a little boy in front of a colorful puzzle with labels wrapped around him.  Labels with words that are sometimes associated with autistic children--among other words as well.  This is an original painting in acrylic and 100% of the funds will go to my local chapter.  Autism is becomming increasingly more common.  Now 1 out of every 150 children are diagnosed with ASD or Autistic Spectrum Disorder.  These families are in a crisis.  That number is also way to high.  Chances are that you know someone affected by this disorder.  If not, you probably will before long.  These families need a break and some understanding.  I hope that the painting touches your heart and that you will be moved to compassion to help.  Visit AutismSpeaks.org.  I have heard that many families break up because of the stress and that many lose their homes because they have such a huge financial burden.  I felt moved to do what I can.  I have the original on watercolor paper and will be doing another on canvas.  I also offer aceo prints of this, 4x6, 5x7 etc.  All money from these sales will go to help the families.  I only wish I could do more.
