Of course, in baseball, like in life, sex sells.  The most popular post we've made to date has been the one about The Hottest Wives in Baseball.  Gentlemen, it's worth a look; trust me on this one.

There are two other baseball blogs that I write.  One is Prep Baseball Stars.  Prep Baseball Stars posts feature articles about top high school baseball players.  The hope is that feature articles will be one more marketing tool to help these guys get a chance to play baseball in college.  Of course, hard work in your home gym doesn't hurt in trying to get to college to play baseball.

Finally, there's a site called Baseball Practice Tips.  I think one of the biggest problems why less athletes are playing baseball is that many coaches run such boring practices.  You know, the practice where one kid hits, the coach throws all the batting practice pitches too slow and too high, and the rest of the team stands out in the outfield and chats about girls.  No wonder so many of the best athletes move on to play lacrosse when they are teenagers. 

It's crazy how much people spend on a web site only to never spend any time optimizing it for the search engines.

If you are a local business, it is often not difficult at all to get on the first page of the Google rankings.  It takes a little bit of effort, mostly common sense, and some search engine optimization (SEO).

SEO, or search engine optimization can be as easy as simply finding the keywords that people search for and including them in your copy.  Add some meta tags, get some inbound links, insert meta tags, and add some search engine friendly URL's and you can see your site rise in the search engine rankings.

You may not have any training in the field of internet marketing and search engine optimization, but it's not hard to get that training.  There's a conference you can attend called Search Engine Strategies that will give you a crash course in SEO; that's how I got started.  Or, you can read one of the many online forums on SEO; these forums can cover the basics as well as the advanced techniques.

If you don't have the time or interest in learning about search engine optimization on your own, you can always hire a search engine optimization company.  These companies will do all of the search engine work for you or they will consult with you and you can do the leg work.  Often, the work in a less competitive field can be done by your current internet marketing staff.
