Change is a good thing right?  When fall comes the leaves change into a myriad of rich jewel tones before they gently parachute themselves into the yard.  We have a lot of trees in our yard so it is always a challenge trying to keep the fallen leaves at bay.  I just pretend I don't see them hoping someone else will get sick of it and rake them.  Seriously this is what I do.  I learned this trick from my kids. 

When the dog would have an accident in the middle of the mudroom floor and it would reek to high heaven yet NO ONE would pick it up.  And when you question why this mess was left for me to pick up on my return from the store to get their obscure school items (like 72 cloves, poster board, rubber cement and 11 egg cartons) they would each reply to me "Oh I didn't see it".  So now, I do the same thing back to them.  I will literally wade through the yard with leaves up to my waist and act like it doesn't bother me.  Eventually they get picked up....but not by me!

Fall also means a change in clothes.  I'm pretty sure it's a conspiracy that every single person in my family needs shoes at the same time.  It's like they have this underground hormone society that causes them to all out grow their pants, coats, shoes, etc. all at the same time.  You practically have to take out a second mortgage to clothe everyone.

Fall also means that the Holidays are just around the corner.  I still have presents from 1982 that I haven't wrapped yet. This is how far behind I am.  The good news?  I can now take those unwrapped items and sell them as brand new vintage collectibles on eBay!
