I purchased, (a a very reasonable price) a wonderful small arab mare for her a few yrs back. I have never seen any animal look at a human with such palatible look of love on her face as "Lady" did toward Baylie, who'se now 10.

Lady died unnessarily, due to the negligence of an uncaring person, and Baylie has not been herself ever since. I do not have much money, but do have a large ranch, with several other horses, who are, unfortunately, still too "bronky" for Baylie.

We'd dreamed of the day she'd be old enough to join a H & P club, and go too Playday's & Gymkana's.

When Lady died, Baylie was beside herself. I'v etold her I'll take her to watch some events, & try to find her another horse, (& no, I don't pretend it will be Lady, but there are lots of other horses out there that would respond to, and love her the way Lady did.

She is so depressed, she says that, "She doesnt even want to get her hopes up, and I grew up in "The Liberty Riders", going to playdays, etc., and & I'd told her about all the fun we'd have, then came the tragidy.

She's afraid to even think about my being able to get her another horse, so I'm not telling her, but instead, hoping that some kind peerson, perhaps someone who's felt like she's feeling, may have a horse I can afford to buy her, as well as giving an older, kind horse a child really loved at one time, another chance too. If anyone knows of someone, of has any ideas as to where I should start to look, I'd be most grateful. As I watch her become more withdrawn, less active, (refusing to even leave the house, or participate in any sports, it eats me up inside, and all I think about, with aniother spring coming along, that I can somehow find what she needs. I've never seen any kind of animal responmd to a human being they way the all do with Baylie, & forn her to lose that gift would be a shame.

Please let me know if youb have any idea's or thoughts on the issue.
