Products to save the enviroment!Posted Sep-26-07 07:28:04 PDT I am all excited. I found a site the buy many of the things I have been wanting around the house. Today I bought: solar battery charger rechargable batteries low water shower head rack to wash plastic baggies in the dishwasher I have been trying to do a bit more for the enviroment lately. I have been line drying my clothes, turning off the a/c and opening windows and running fans instead. I didn't replace the extra fridge when it went out and I haven't replaced the dryer when it went out. These are not big steps, but they are at least something. And on the plus side the line drying saved me 48cents a day in my electric bill and when the fridge went out my electric went down another 34cents a day. So at 82 cents a day savings, that is going to be almost $30 a month. Now in order to trade the van in for that Scion XB (which gets twice the miles per gallon and should still be able to haul all my stuff for the festivals) I need to find a way of saving another $270 a month. Maybe we can eat more vegetarian fare. That is also supposed to help with the enviroment. And I guess I could try and get up a half hour earlier and walk Katie to school more often instead of relying on the car. Anyone else have any favorite mehtods of reducing consumption, reducing global warming or reducing expenses?
