Somehow I feel I cannot expand my eBay business to the next level. 

May be its due to (eBay charges) ; scary not one wants to view (eBay store) ; (unscrupulous buyers) ; too few (volume of transactions) ; too few saleable items ; low-priced merchandise;...........   etc . 

May be I should think of another strategy to overcome my present situation .  

 I am still wearing my thinking cap !  

Selling an ordindary item earns you $1.  Selling an high-priced item earns you $100.

With the same effort and time, that is 100 times more income.

 Furthermore,

(1) You pay less on FVF.

(2) You have less queries to answer.

(3) You must be well-versed in your merchandise.

(4) You have fewer selected serious bidders.

(5) You can build up your creditability earlier.

(6) You must cover yourself from any mischaps ( loss of mail, unscrupulous bidders) .

eBay helps sellers to build up their home-based businesses ...OR ....

Sellers are being squeezed by eBay for its greed of  money .   

MY VIEW IS :  DON'T. PLEASE THINK TWICE.

Major part of the profit you get will be sucked by Paypal and eBay fees. 

We sellers work hard for our business and eBay gets most of the money.  

Only ...

1) High priced goods with hugh profit margins

2) Painters' or artists' works (value added) with low cost and sell at high price

3) Rare hot items (seller decides on own targetted price) 

4) Junks sell to buyers who need them (you have written off the cost)

5) Earn from little shipping/handling fees (BUT ITS AGAINST EBAY'S RULE)

6) Collectibles (convertible to cash)

7) Fake items (BUT ITS ILLEGAL)  

8) etc ..etc..  

may stand a chance to survive...

On 28th June, 4 pm Valuair flight to Jakarta. reached Jakarta at 5.30 pm ( 1hr time saved) .

Our family (4 of us)  checked in 2 rooms in Grand Hyatt Hotel that evening. That night , my cousin gave us a prior-to-wedding dinner at Jade Crystal Restaurant at the west wing of one of the posh mall next to the hotel.

Next morning, after eaten our breakfast at the hotel, we drove for around 1 hour to attend wedding ceremony at a local church at Gereja Maria Bunda Karmel in Jakarta. The ceremony lasted 2 hours. We then drove back to hotel for a rest. We went around the plaza  for some shopping spree, too(at the basement of the hotel).

Night time is the wedding ceremony at the hotel itself. There are around 900 guests and the food was simply supper , sumptous and plentiful. We all had a wonderful time.  

Monday morning after breakfast, another cousin brought us around the city, we had lunch in a local restaurant for authentic Indonesian food. The food was simply wonderful !

After that ,we went to a mall to pick up some stuff and straight to the airport to catch our flight home. Reachd home safely at 9 pm.
