A lot of people from whom i order add little gifts ; sometimes i do- as i sell jewelry the free gift box [ not free at all to me] is the thing i always send.

others add other items- i send stata quarters to distant states- or stickers- or what i can- usually the box and packing well and pricing as low as i can-that is it.

how about other people?  how do you feel about extras ; what do you include?

Hi, a few hours ago i rec'd info many of you probably have.

It is listed under entreprenure .com - the magazine has been investigating ebay ; there a lot of things i have not seen - even in our help sections- ot silly get rich quick sceemes , but info on other businesses and their interaction with ebay.

it is possitive - a bit optimistic- but if you have been doing this for more than 3 weeks -you will have a good idea if any of it is for you.

mostly what i've read [ i stopped reading ,because i wanted to keep the info fresh on the web and let eople who may not have seen it know it is there ]

pass the sight along in your own blogs as well- it is nice to see some thing positive for a change.

there are more links than i have found anywhere on ebay-

many will be useless ; in 2 hrs -i saw how to do it right! never saw that on ebay - there is a lot of junk- but they are reporting- not doing-

if i did not believe this would not help so many of us ; i would not be so enthustic about it.

VERY IMPORTANT-go to as many links as you can- i would suggest taking notes- paper-pen- there are links they give that they do not recognize as links - you will-

when you get to entreprenuer.com- go to the home based business section- huge amount of ebay specific helpful info and links to more help.

Many of you have been very kind over the past      several weeks ; as i and my 'little' store have been attacked.

Much of the attacking has been by power sellers because i asked advice about my store.

To be asked advise is a compliment .i would not ask ; if i knew. i am hoping others do and give suggestions.

The majority have done just that ; thank you.

A few have even dropped by and bought a little something ; maybe you would ave anyway ; the products are new nice and the prices are break eve or less. Each time i go to the store and one of you has gotten something , i thank you.

it is not the size of the sale ; large helps - but that is trrue for everyone- the important thing to me is a feeling that you are telling me it will be o.k. and you are there.

Many have been verbally suportive ; on the blog and thru sellers link.

To come to another persons blog to be nasty ; is similiar to curbing yourself on the wrong place - not here- we all have enough pressure over the changes ; over global warming ; over wars and rumors of war a myriad of real things.

The kindness is great ; it lets me know that most of you are really nice people.

YESTERDAY I PUT UP A BLOG ABOUT ADVICE ON KEEPING MY STORE.

I GOT ATTACKED BECAUSE IT IS A SMALL STORE AND OTHERS HAD ORE AT STAKE.

THAT ONLY MEANS THEY HAVE MORE!

TO CRITISIZE SOMEONE WHEN THEY ARE ASKING FOR HELP AND OPINIONS IS DISUSTING.

TO DO IT BECAUSE THEY HIT THE WRONG KEY- OR THE TOUCH IS TOO LIGHT AND IT DOES NOT REGESTER ; OR BECAUSE THEY ARE HUMAN AND NO APPOLOGIES THERE-

POINT 1 FINGER AT ME AND THE OTHER 4ARE BACK AT YOU.

TO THE PERSON WHO SAID MY STORE WAS PRETTY; THANK YOU.

TO THE PERSON WHO OFFERED HELP - SAID I DID NOT GET BACK TO THEM- YES I DID- I WAS NOT GOING TO PESTER ; ASSUMED YOU WERE TOO BUSY.

MY view of what is happening is multi phasic.

1- Sellers are caught in the press between Ebay and heir refusal to realize that we are the back-bone. with out sellers the place closes.

2-Ebay seems unaware that the majority of sellers are good hard working people who are making a business for them - not the other way around.

3- There are a lot of ights -smaller less well organized springing up ; that are 'seller friendly' . Ebay was nothing a few years ago and will return to that unless sellers are treated as the important people they are.

4 - Ebay is making a mistake to try to force   stores into the auctions so much. Stres have always been in the auctions ; for awareness of their existance- stores are the stable part of the selling force. As a store person- i like auctions - but i [ the store ] is in for the long haul- an auction is in for a week.

5 - cheating sellers . We sellers / buyers have to stop them. Ebay must start more stringent rules to do the same- soeone sends junk- at best a refund is issued- that does not always happen.Ebay is getting a bad name with the pulic and honest sellers alike for not stopping these people. They won't - they get the fees- it will  cost them everything if they do not stand up.

We are all going through periods of change.

This is true each day in our personal lives. It is true in our relationships. In our family ; friends and work; we are changing.

Herea lot of change has been thrust upon us ; unawares ; for any by the company we trusted.

Are we fair? Do we answer to the board and to stock holders ; when they are unhappy?

For me - the anxwer is ; no ; that is not my job.

We cannot stop change ; but only someone not thinking says we have to go with it ; as it is set up ; after all ; people are making these changes. We are changing ebay each and every day ; put up an item ; there is a change - multiply this by the thousands going up at the same time and the control we have ; we ontrol the price ; we control the pictures ; most important of all ; we control whether ebay will be a good happy ; honest ; fair place - or a place we do not want to tell anyone we are affiliated with..

That is Power !!!

That is what makes or breaks ebay ; our honesty ; in pricing ; in quality ; in description.

All of us have the ability ;not to stop change , but to change our sites in our own way.

Please people ; have a good sight ; you reflet on me . I in turn will do my best ; knowing I reflect on you.

Together we can direct the changes in ebay - we know the people at top of ladder aren,

not able to create our adds. Our stores ; our customer kindness.

Let us use our  VERY REAL POWER   to make this place a little better tomorrow than it was today.

Drop a price ; if you ca ; maybe someone who couldn't get something will. Power for change in someones life ...This is your POWER.

Use it with kindness; you get what you give; someone will be ina better mood and kinder to you.

Welcome  one  and  all  .  We  have  had  a  rather  bumpy  ride  ;  think  maybe  we  are  not  happy  about  some  thingss  ,  but  are  adjusting  to  what  we  cannot  change  .

OPINION ?  WHAT  DO  YOU  THINK .??

Feeling pretty badly about what has happened ; finding no real answers I turned to  one of the really big power sellers.

I had had only 1 purchase  w/ her ; did not know what to expect.

She said "i have been at this a long time ; seen ups and downs ; evens out in the long run"

Meg was offered Disneyworld - She turned it   down . That was a sad day for those of us who  wanted nothing more than a little bit of fun , a little store ad a way to make a few extra dollars.

How any other people fell into my trap ? Never have I taken a cent from this place;    instead I was using the money -in paypal- to buy lots and singles and get threatened - really- under threat at the moment- some bought 4 rubics cubes key chains - wrote me that day saying they broke when used - refused to return- gave me a negative - went to paypal to file a claim. On their sight is a group of warnings from other sellers to stay away. Paypal - doesn't care- I offered to send them some  [all are sealed] to judge- no response.

That is the ebay way. PayPal being ebays'. I wonder if the lies and greed will ever end?

Meg and All  who have a say in ebay overlook - stores pay just to sit and hold . To sell means they get more fees and then a new holding fee.

Stores are the cohesive factor for ebay ; stores may close but those that do not are mostly run by honest people ; giving good value ; paying even morefees to auction to bring awareness to the stores.

Store prices are often a tiny bit higher ; quality consistantly better ; if not the store will not last. That not being enough we do our own advertising and give them higher final fees ; for the privilage of having a virtual store to begin with.

Google gives all of this free - you an sell from a google blog. Plus they will give free buttons  to count traffic and you get paid if someone buys or not ; it is through various companies  [ large ones] that use your blog space to get their name everywhere. Not much pay but it is free as is the blog.

Verizon has a similar offer ; msn has another ; and a lot of independent sights are springing up ; I am ot saying we should drop ebay  -   they are trying to appease share-holders and if they cannot ; they may just have to keep their polo shirts as they will need them for trips.

The reality ; as I see it ; is that almost all of the stores are haing major sales ---  simple translation : financial shifts are occuring all over the world in regards to currency valuation.

The group running ebay ; do not want to accept the slower market reality ; wages in the u.s. are lower , allowing for inflation ; house and auto sales are down  - in most places - food prices are climbing and as the western world approaches   w inter  oil  prices are going up . More financial cuts are the logical  following step.

Ebay does not like this shift ; most americans do not either .Most Americans are not in a position to put their workers  [ as most have none ] on the spot and say ' it is their fault'. No it is a shifting Global economy and the more Ebay harms those who support it ; the more they loose. To loose 1 store does hurt them ; each store does pay its' way in store fees alone- then it must be filled.

This is not the time to drop ebay ; it is the time to assess what you put in ; what you get out and how much you want to invest in the future.

My dear ebay people - we are in for a bumpy ride ; only get off if it is best for you.

Consider what you hope and dream for ; it is still true that  'if you dream it , you can achieve it ' , to make that happen keep the dream - do not run about like 'chiken little' the sky is not falling but the clouds are gathering and you may get a bit wet. Get a towel. Keep the dream ; have faith , in yourself , in your fellow humans , mostly have faith in God.

E bay said open a store . I didn't for months .

Eventually I decided to try. Besides a store was something nice.

Store people are usually more honest than a    lot who have zapped in auction.Not all ; bt more so - after all a store is usually a bit more serious.

So , doing -     the right thing - the store opened.

Sure it was slow going , but it sold more than auctions.

Then it suddenly wasn't -the same item ; auction sold store didn't , but the higher priced did sell in store and not on line.

Adjusted and started using the store mostly for storage.

It worked. The pkgs. were trickling out the door and fees were paid.

Bought better lots ; had a lot of stuff!

Stores were 'bad'  meg said so. Doubt she could run a small one w/out money to start ; but what the heck. Bad store !

Now meg wants the store to go.

I think we need a new c.e.o.

PEOPLE; I  am now taking  this  prsonally  ;  and  i  do  not  know  if  it  is  or  not. Lately  people  have  been  buying  less  than  the  small normal  from  mme .

Have i done something ; of which i am unaware?

there is nothing wrong with my products or prices ; am i being overly sensitive?
