Food deliveries to homebound poor seniors by Meals on Wheels are being cut.
A federal lack of appriopriated funds to pay for gas is causing food deliveries to stop to the most vulnerable poor and ill Americans.
Seniors need us to write our senators, governors and representatives . We owe this help, just a letter or two to feed the generation who raised us and our parents.
The funds exist but Meals on wheels needs help, the money being available is useless until it is given to Meals on wheels so they can afford the gas to deliver meals to the homebound elderly .
Remember, the person your letter reaches has a parent. They also likely have the money to hire help for the elderly.
As these are the mothers , fathers, teachers, police, firemen, soldiers who helped America get this far ; is the government acting with-in it's rights by with holding funds for gas ?
Write your senators, congressmen and the White house -1600 pennsylvania Ave . Washington , D. C. - they answer to the people who's votes they want.
This costs them nothing, it makes them look good, they do listen in numbers.
Will you take a few minutes and wriite a short letter asking for funding to be increased for Meals on Wheels , to cover rising gas costs. ? The person you save may be your family, we really never know what the future holds ; we do know humans must eat.
