Archive - May 2008 On To Plan B.....Posted May-30-08 08:56:37 PDT So life has taken another turn I guess, from what Ive read Ebay isnt coming around to anywhere near a place it used to be. Ive been here before, needing another job, being too scared to try something crazy and always taking the safe way out... I WILL DO THAT NO MORE! I started this pretty sussessful business (until 2 weeks ago anyway) , from a box of antique magazines (thanks Papa) and have been building and building ever since. Its gone well. In that time Ive dreamed of have a real store, but of course been too scared, maybe this is that door that clsoes so my other will open,kinda situation. I think its time to beleive in myself and make the jump. Nothing can be gained if nothing is risked! I will open in August! I will beleive in me! Well I have one you need to add to your list, check my feedback or email me and I'll send along the buyer id. Dont even know what the hell she/he's talking about she got what she oredered. But how would I know what her problem is, she DIDNT EMAIL ME! So I guess this is how it will be from now on in Ebay land. Yesterday I went up to 99% today I dropped to 98.9! Ebay Used to Love me, Now they want me Homeless!Posted May-28-08 13:16:54 PDT Never in 5 years have I had such a bad week, havent had a feeling of being so scared in that long either! Its sad for those of us who make this our way, and now our way is diminishing at a remarkable rate. Ebay has decided amongst their high powered selves that small business dont generate as much money for the effort it takes them to deal with our non paying customers and to monitor our listings & customers I guess. We wont make them rich enough, so the best way for them to faze us out is to give us such unrealistic ideals to meet, that we will eventually close up shop and make more room for the extremely high volume sellers. ie the BIG money makers! It would have been nicer for Ebay to just tell us outright instead of slowly watching us suffucate. I feel like my head is being held under water and I cant breathe, maybe it will pass, I have been through many of Ebay's changes, but Im afraid this is the largest and I cant see it going back to being anywhere near a Sellers Paradise that it used to be. Please all of you that keep saying keep plugging away, dont focus on the negative and work work work. I have to say, what the hell do you think I have been doing? Playing House? Im fairly sure those of you with such a postive outlook dont make this your only way, and also have a DSR rating that gets you in a Best match rating! For the rest of us who got screwed most of havent had more than 4 bids all week! I work my ass off on this site, I get punished because I cant ship same day, (Im a one woman operation people), punished because people CANT FRIGGIN READ A LISTING DESCRIPTION, are too lazy to check measurements and are also too lazy to email first before feedback even tho I beg them to ON SEVERAL SPOTS on each listing! Ebay doesnt care about any of those things, and neither do buyers Im afraid. But again, I pay the big fees with a big price! As all you other sellers do who got punished for Ebay not removing feedback from suspended Sellers. They havent done that yet. So they screwed our DSR's And out %'s becasue they are too lazy to remove scores from suspended sellers. I guess it will take a few weeks so better to screw us first and say thank you later! I think the changes have scared everybody off, buyers and sellers alike. Im frustrated,discouraged, and feeling like everytime time I breathe some buyer is trying to hold me Feedback Hostage. I think that the Ebay American Dream, has left the building! Guy buys a shirt, says he doesnt like how one of the letters is alittle more faded. I mention that my pitcures are 1080x780 and it clearly shows in the picture. (of course I say this nicely) Offer for him to return the shirt minus shipping as it states in all my listings. He replies with some BS about a car with a scratch and how I wouldnt drive it (how he knows that about me Im not sure!) I think I would for a good price) Then he continues to tell me he will be returning it and leaving terrible feedback after the refund. So tell me fellow sellers, what is the incentive to issue the refund at all when i know in advance Im gonna get slammed with terrible feedback anyway! So here it begins, buyers use feedback as a negotiating tactic..... Ebay will soon be a thing of the past at this rate I think... I guess when you have 783 as a feedback score it seems bad. When you get to over 7000, you try to work that hard and beg people to contact you before feedback is left and stiull they wont even give you a chace for refund return! When I had 780 feedback I had 100% too! Thanks for the frickin support! My feedback has gone to CRAp in the last few weeks due to buyers who have decided they cant read! I clearly states that if your not happy contact me and I'll issue a reund minus shipping when its received back. Seems this buyer in Australia bought 4 items and has decided she doesnt like 'em files an instant complaint with Paypal, and wants all the money back! $110.00! She doesnt contact me, says she did but its BS! So Paypal puts a hold on the 110.00, I offer a refund minus shipping as it states in my listings and she's apparently THINKING about it. Paypal is really frustrating lately, they just gave a full refund to a buyer in Poland who says she didnt get it but teh tracking clearly shows its still in Transit. I told them, they didnt care! Wow Maybe time for a carreer change! Dealing with people who were suicidal was easier than this lately! Happy Friggin Mothers Day!Posted May-11-08 20:59:47 PDT So it really sucked again this year. Didnt have much faith that it would be any different than the last 9 years, its been that many since my kids Teachers make him make a card or the occasional maccoroni whatever thing that they made.) S again my day was again the same as the last 9 years running, can I do ...., can you drive me ( I promise not to thank you for the drive each way to pick up my G/friend-to the movie and back to drop her off then do it all again 2 hours later!, and the money you'll give me,too) even though I had enough to pay for my G/friend but I couldnt buy you a card or even say anything which was free. Forget that you reminded me to call my Grandma, which I didnt do and you had to, no thanks for that either Mom, didnt really even care that your Mom and you dont do that sort of thing, and I promise not to give a crap how hard it was for you to call her.) I also promise not to give a crap either that you have been so sick this past week your hair hurt and even getting in the car was enough to pray that God would just let you die) I promise not to Thank you, not even once, that all those 4 trips you made in the car this week while you were sick that were all 4 me! And then at the end of all that BS, I was told again, like every other Mothers Day and Birthday, that I meant to tell you. I jsut forgot. Well, this Mom has had enough, next year is Graduation, and I think I may forget about every Birthday, Graduation, Xmas and every holiday in between. I am on STRIKE! 365 More Days and he is Out!
