Happy Friggin Mothers Day!

So it really sucked again this year. Didnt have much faith that it would be any different than the last 9 years, its been that many since my kids Teachers make him make a card or the occasional maccoroni whatever thing that they made.) S again my day was again the same as the last 9 years running, can I do ...., can you drive me ( I promise not to thank you for the drive each way to pick up my G/friend-to the movie and back to drop her off then do it all again 2 hours later!, and the money you'll give me,too) even though I had enough to pay for my G/friend but I couldnt buy you a card or even say anything which was free. Forget that you reminded me to call my Grandma, which I didnt do and you had to, no thanks for that either Mom, didnt really even care that your Mom and you dont do that sort of thing, and I promise not to give a crap how hard it was for you to call her.) I also promise not  to give a crap either that you have been so sick this past week your hair hurt and even getting in the car was enough to pray that God would just let you die) I promise not to Thank you, not even once, that all those 4 trips you made in the car this week while you were sick that were all 4 me! I also promise not to remind you that you''d probably be better by now if you could have stayed in bed!
And then at the end of all that BS, I was told again, like every other Mothers Day and Birthday, that I meant to tell you. I jsut forgot.
Well, this Mom has had enough, next year is Graduation, and I think I may forget about every Birthday, Graduation, Xmas and every holiday in between. I am on STRIKE! 365 More Days and he is Out! I love him dearly but for every  2 good qualities there is one that SUCKS... Did you hear that Prople 365 more days and I am FREE!
Love,
The Striking Mother!

Ah, teenaged boys. Mine is 14 1/2. He's just really getting into the 'I am the center of the universe and mommy exists only to serve me' attitude.

Welcome to motherhood-where never has so many been so over-used and underrated, berated, lied to, underestimated and outright forgotten in the annuls of history!
Hopefully your errant young idiot will see what you wrote and realize what a gem of a Mom they have, but I wouldn't hold my breath on that one! In all the teeth-gnashing and tearful exclaimations may I insert one thought which may (or may not ) ease your fury...We were all young and stupid at one time-and we probably caused our Moms a lot of grey hair and anguish on the way to growing up. So perhaps it is part of 'the rites of passage' that all children are forced to pass through on the way to becoming an adult-so they too can experience the same treatment from their offspring...Just a thought...

My daughter as a teenager was about the same. When she became a Mom herself she started realizing Happy Mothers Day from one mom to another

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but...my eldest is 19, graduated 3 years ago & had a child a year ago- they never leave & mothers are never free. Your son sounds much like my son- today he gave me a chicken nugget out of his lunch & called it my mother's day present.

I have two 14 yr. old twins, a boy & girl, and as usual got nothing from either. Sometimes Dad does something on their behalf...but this year no present. However, my hubby did cook me a great meal. Even so I still feel blessed to have them and be their mom.

That's where the father steps in and reminds the kids that Mother's day is importent, etc.Where were the male figures insuring that Mom wasn't forgotten?
