My home is right outside of Portland, south of Oregon City in the peaceful, tranquil country. My husband and I have a small U cut Christmas tree business, so as you can imagine we're surrounded by trees. When I look out my bedroom window, on clear day I can have a perfect view of Mt. Hood and the trees fields below.
My most faithful companion is my dog, Zippy. He watches me paint and helps me feed the horses. Every morning I tell him, "Come on Zippy, we have work to do." He gets so excited and can't wait to get outside to go greet the horses.
I am a painter artist, so spend my time either painting or marketing my work. In addition to selling on eBay and the internet, I sell my work at local galleries and juried shows.

During the month of March my "In Search of the Pefect Pear Series" will be on display at a local gallery in West Linn OR. 

For almost a year I painted nothing but pear paintings.  Started out painting them very realistic.  With each painting I would try different techniques and color combinations.  By the time I go to number 100 it was amazing to see how my style was beginning to evolve into my own personal way of painting.

I believe in order for an artist to stay fresh and new, he or she should never be afraid to try a new approach, a new color, new textures, interesting shapes.  Never be satisfied with painting the same old way.  Stretch yourself and you'll be pleasantly surprised.  You will find your unique style develop before your eyes.  Check out my About Me page to view some of the pear paintings from the series.
