The American Dream isn't about headaches

Back in the "old days" when I was young and lived in SF my friends and I spent a lot of our time scouring the thrift stores, garage sales and flea markets for anything we could find that we thought was "cool". Old jewlery, vintage clothing, knick knacks, etc. It was a blast!  Then I got married, went corporate, got a j.o.b., bought a house, you know all of the stuff that the American Dream is built on. I still shopped but it became Nordstrom not Goodwill.  After about 15 years I realzed that the American Dream isn't about corporate headaches. Now I work for myself, my husband is a hairdresser, we have tatoos and Nordstrom is not currently an option. (we still own a house - hey I'm not giving up EVERYTHING) Who knew that we would come full circle! When Rich posted his first couple of books to "see if it would work" we had no idea the world that we were getting into and boy does it move fast. Now we scour the thrift stores, garage sales and flea markets looking for anything we can find that we think is "cool" and will sell on eBay and it is a BLAST! We can't wait to see where this adventure takes us.

It's 2am and I should be sleeping but...

I'm new to blogging so please excuse me if I sound like I'm trying to get my feet under me. It just that, well, I'm trying to get my feet under me! I have always had a gift for gab and a knack for writing and it's 2am so this may be a dangerous combination. Seriously, this was a great weekend. We went to visit my brother and his family for the holiday and Richard spent most of the time on the computer checking his account. To his great pleasure he had several sales and lots of interest! I'm not really sure how all of this works but that's what I have him for. He has me because I can spell. And I'm cute. Oh yeah, and we're married and are really happy about it. In fact we are coming up on our 5 year anniversary this month (ahha you say, that's why you are so happy about being married - you haven't even hit the 5 year mark...give it some time). Nay! This is a keeper! Some of the best things in life are worth waiting for  like me (ok both of us)... and eBay. He loves eBay. He loves the research to make sure he's doing it right. He loves posting his items and tracking them (and of course selling them) and this week he is going to start loving buying them. It's just a big love fest!      Welcome to my world.    :)
Have a great night and we hope to see you soon. We have LOTS of books. TONS of books. Fantasy, Literature, Supernatural, Fitness, Health, etc. Oh, and Theatre. We both have extensive theatre backgrounds. So, if there is something you want please ask. We may just have it. If he hasn't already posted it. Goodnight.

If it's not tied down it's going on eBay!

What fun this is turning out to be. What started as "let's try it and see how it goes" has turned into "Honey, did you want that.....?" Turns out that this is really addictive. Kind of like getting a tattoo! Who knew? No wonder so many people trade on eBay. The more we read, the more there is to know. We love this! and are very happy to be part of this awesome venture.
