The Entertainment BizPosted Feb-24-07 16:03:59 PST I started out in life wanting to be an actress. I lived for my TV shows and I spent my spare time acting them out or writing about them. But then life happened - you know, real jobs, family, bills. At age thirty, I gave it another shot by moving to California to be closer to the industry and carved out a career as an entertainment reporter. When I got to stand on the set of my favorite series, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and realized I was getting paid for it! Wow. That was a moment. So now, here I am ready for another step. I want to be in TV (or movie) production! So I've turned a new page and became the 40 Year Old Intern. Industry interns are usually college students looking for a break or a few bucks. I, however, am laughing in the face of the whole age thing, saying I bring a lot of life experience to the table, so hire me! Getting started in the industry means working for low or no pay, so to supplement my new career choice, I'm back to ebaying and my collection of movie and TV memorabilia will be put on the auction block, bit by bit (the items I can bear to part with). I hope you'll check out my auctions and help me live my dream.
