Most Recent Posts Another day, another pennyPosted Mar-06-08 19:21:58 PST Spent the last few days going through cabinets and dresser drawers ...you can see some of the fruits of my labor in my 'items for sale'. Didn't get very far, kept stopping to take a stroll down memory lane - and to take pictures. It takes a long time to put that much stuff on ebay when you have dial up. Thats one of the disadvantages of living this far out in the country - no DLS available. I do so enjoy checking out how many people have viewed my items, and become estatic when I actually get a bid. This is sooooo much fun. I wish you all a good - and profitable- evening. Later! Check out my rock - can you say desperate?Posted Feb-26-08 20:15:49 PST Another day coming to a close, got a few more things photographed and listed. Can't believe that I actually listed a rock! I was so tired of dusting around it. And another thing....I desperately need dsl, this dial up connection is a real drag when it comes to uploading pictures. That is one negative for living out in the boonies...I guess I should be glad to have dial up. Tomorrow is my birthday and I can't seem to get my mind around the fact that I am no longer a 'person of youth'. I swear, when I walk down the hall and glance up at the mirror, I am startled ...thinking someone else is in the house. For all of you 'young peope' (any one under 50) enjoy, enjoy, enjoy, because in 10 or 15 years, you are going to be seeing a stranger when you look in the mirror. The really ironic thing is, that inside, I still think I'm 30!! Now if I could only get the outside to cooperate with the inside, I would be sitting in tall cotton (to borrow a phrase from my youth). Wishing you all great bids and a wonderful night. Another day, Another bid (I can only hope)Posted Feb-25-08 18:54:21 PST Well, another day down, still so much junk...couldn't seem to get in the mood to do my E-Bay thing today. Did find a few things that I will list tomorrow, because, I'm sure that someone out there really, really needs a rock that was hit by a meteor - something that my youngest drug home when he was in school and couldn't bear to part with - but the time has come for it to go, go, go! Never ceases to amaze me what they deemed a "treasure". Don't know how all you other multi listers do it day after day. You have my admiration. I guess I must not have that "tenacious" gene. Actually, I think that deep, deep down, I just don't want to package all that stuff. Thats the part that I don't like so much. I sure hope the wind dies down, it has blown like a son of a gun today. Makes my allergies act up and really impacts my ablility to breath. Time to pay some bills, clean up the kitchen, fold a load of laundry, put to dog out to tinkle, and all that stuff called living. good night all! lightening the loadPosted Feb-24-08 20:02:22 PST Updated Feb-24-08 20:03:34 PST 2/24/08 well, made a start in getting rid of some of this junk today. will drag out some each week and see if I have something that will become a treasure to someone else. I have so much stuff that came to me from my mother and grandmother, nevermind what I have collected over 60 years. the boys and grandkids have taken what they wanted and I just hate to see their "treasures" tossed in the trash. Some of this stuff must have been important to them or they wouldn't have held onto it for 3/4's of a century. It was no hardship to stay indoors today and do this - was cold and dreary. The lake was so gray looking. Am so looking forward to sunny days and crappie fishing.
