All of us here at ButlerPower.com would like to wish everyone a safe and happy Thanksgiving Holiday.

Since March of 2004 gas in the majority of the Northeast has had 10% ethanol added to it.

This has caused MAJOR problems on a variety of power equipment with carburetors.

The “shelf life” in small quantities (in the carbs) is only a maximum of 2 weeks! Larger quantities (fuel tanks) will last longer.

 Therefore, it is imperative that you start and run your equipment at least every 2 weeks for 10 minutes OR drain the carb bowls dry for storage. Fuel stabilizer will help but it is NOT a “Cure”.

We have experienced this issue first hand and the Equipment manufactures do not and will not warranty these problems !

Take good care of your Equipment and use the proper fuels. Manufacturers recommend 89 octane or higher.
