To Ship or Not To Ship that is the Question?????

It seems everytime I have an auction where the winning bidder is from overseas it seems to be more problems then what the item is really worth. Now I'm not saying that all over seas bidders are problem bidders but unfortunately there are a few bad apples. Allow me to explain:

I would say over a month ago I had an auction for a Dell labtop computer. Now I've been a seller on ebay for quite some time to know better than to not describe items as accurate as possible because it only ends up biting you back in the behind. Anyway, upon receipt  of the item the buyer sent me an email stating the listing was inaccurate. The item was not only inaccurate according to the description but the buyer had several different excuses none of which panned out on there behalf. The first was the item was crack and I did not advise this in the listing. What the buyer did not plan on was me taking photo's of this item prior to being shipped out with time and date to assure it's appearance would not be in question. (I advise the buyer that I could not be responsible for damages done through transit, that is why insurance is purchased and requested) The second was that the item as described did not have a CD/DVR combo, which with the proper paper work I had available (during the time I purchased it) proved otherwise. And third, that the hardrive which was advertised as a 60GB was a 40GB. Again,  with the proper proof and notorized affidavid's I manage to obtain written proof from Bestbuy, Geek Squad that the item was as described. In an earlier email this buyer had sent she tried to bribe me to refund a $100 of the purchase price for the accusations. I declined and advised the buyer that if they where not happy with there purchase to please send it back. She instead opened a dispute with paypal, which I then sent the same info via by fax for them to view and advised them to offer a refund including shipping so that I can move on. I advised paypal that the buyer would need to return the item at her own expense and it should be received in the same manner inwhich it was delivered. They agreed! Well not a few hours later I received another email from the buyer asking for a $100 refund for the missunderstanding.  I'm thinking, "what misunderstanding?" I rather refund the total purchase price and resell and send proper paper work than be bribed by a dishonest person. What funny, is this very same person gave me issues to finalize payment, I even had a feeling that this was going to be a problem transaction that is why I was amost insisting on having all my duck in a row because I had a feeling. I even later received an email from this person stating that the cost of living in the Ukraine was bad and that she was a mother of two and could not afford the labtop. I didn't respond because I didn't want to throw more fuel to the fire, but, "why bid on an item you can't afford?" And in the USA, is it really any differant. I know several people who are also suffering from the cost of living here in our very own home town. That doesn't mean you'll see them bidding on item they can't afford.

Friend or Fo ( Just Venting)

This past weeekend my family and I stayed at the Springhill Suites by Marriott @ EWR. From time to time we like to get away from the every day craziness and give us a sense of new scenerie. Plus the kids love utalizing the pool. Know keep in mind we are pretty regulars. For example, we no everyone by first name including the General Manager. For the most part we've never had issues with this hotel and if we had it wasn't that much of a big deal to make an issue of it. Well this past weekend was absolutely horrible. So I wrote out a comment card and ask my daughter to please bring it downstairs and give it to the F/D attendant there. Aside from giving her the note I ask my daughter to ask the attendant to give us 4 additional towels (because the cleaning lady never clean our room). Well my daughter came back but with no towels..I thought not a biggie the attendant was probably extremely busy she'll probably send some up when she has a moment. We never did receive the towels but I wasn't going to make it an issue. Anyway, on Monday, April 21 I sent a email to the General Manager of the hotel (a FYI, letter). Keep in mind the General Manager and I are somewhat friends or at least I thought we where. I was giving him a heads up and what I got was a email sent three days later canceling a future Event Date held at the hotel on May 25th. It wouldn't be such a big deal but I had sent invitations that had already been pre-printed with address, date and time for this event being held at this hotel. And although I tried to resolve this issue he has been reluctant to my understanding. Here's the kicker...The complaint was because the housekeeper did not clean our room as requested. He even went as far as to say that the housekeeper said my husband refused service when indeed was incorrect. Needless to say, we will not be patrons at that hotel any longer!

R U LOOSING YOUR FAITH???????

I feel like I'm loosing faith in ALL. I know I'm pregnant and most people tell me it's just hormones but...I've always had HOPE..To me there was always another corner that seemed to brighten me up. Lately, I just don't have it..What's wrong with me? Am I the only one who feels like this.

OMG She's done it again.. Please READ, IT may save you alot of Trouble!!!

It turns out that the Ebayer I had my issue with a few weeks ago has done it again. This time to other fellow Ebayer's. Unfortunately Ebay feels that posting her Ebay name is against the rules, but I feel so bad for the other's that had to deal with her..They could of been worned about this person and because they would not allow me to post her screen name other's too have been scammed. Now this person not only has the 1 negative feedback that I left but within the time frame 2 additional negative feedbacks. I did go ahead and filed a UPI against this bidder and I know for a fact one of the other member's went ahead and did the same. But in actuality it could of been avoided had members been notified. Now, I fear she has created a new account under a different allias because her rating is @ 80%. And I did advise other members in that post that she was originally an Ebay member under a different name and was kick off apparently for doing the same thing. My fellow friends of Ebay please look @ my feedback and look @ the person who recently left negative feedback against me because I had originally left it for her for non-payment. BLOCK her, I have emails that I sent to her which will correspond to my behalf I was never in no way rude to her at all and I will send proof to anyone whom needs to see it. I have nothing to hide because I know in my heart of hearts I am a very reasonable person. But please DO NOT get caught in her web!!! She will truely give you a migrane. FYI, I am 6 1/2 months pregnant and recently have been hospitolized for pre-term labor (during this situation) Block her from bidding and communicating with you. You'll save yourself alot of trouble! I hope this helps... :  )
