Quote to think about!

While going through my planner for the day, I came across this thought:

"The highest reward for a person's toil is not what they get for it, but what they become by it." John Ruskin

Sometimes it seems like there is always one more thing to do, but perhaps we all need to step back and see how what we have done has changed us.

Another Day and More Great Opportunities

Boy, what a day.  What a lot of things happed today.  So many things to do, so many great opportunities.  At least, it's better to look at it that way than to complain.

Actually, I am looking at selling my artwork in my ebay store and in the auctions.  If anyone has any advise, I would greatly appreciate it.

Anyway, it was a beautiful day here in LA (Lower Alabama).  It was in the mid 70's nice, nice, nice.  Lots of green grass and trees, beautiful flowers - mostly camillias right now, azealas will be blooming soon.

My daughter adopted a cat for Christmas.  She went to the pound and fell in love with a sweet calico kitty named Zoe.  She has already made lots friends. Zoe is a bundle of energy always looking for a new adventure.  Monday night she discovered how to get into the air conditioning ducts.  That was a really interesting adventure.  Check back often for the adventures of Zoe the cat.

Hello to the Blogging Community

Hi, everyone.  I'm new to blogging.  It's been interesting and enlightening to peruse through the blogs.

I'm realitively new to ebay, been here just under a year.  It's been a good year, full of lots of learning - a few bumps but lots of friendly folks.   A few blessings that have been disguised as trials, have come into our family's life, so we are looking for new avenues to generate a living and enjoy doing it.

I've always enjoyed art and music.  Studied music, taught for 25 years, and continue to play piano for my church.  In the past ten years, I have taken up my art again.  Actually one of our daughters is studying commercial art.  But I enjoy drawing, painting, and anything crafty and creative.  Thus a new door has opened.  Before Christmas, several people saw some pencil portraits that I had done of my family members.  And wouldn't you know it, they all wanted portaits.  So they gave me pictures of their grandchildren, daughters, sons, granddogs, etc. and voila a business opportunity!

So I am looking to build on this humble beginning.
