Wow! Jane Feather wrote a Regency historical romance! I'm so used to her historicals being set in either the Restoration period or the late Victorian era.

Not normally a Feather fan, I picked this one up out of sheer desperation. No other new releases intrigued me.

While it wasn't as good as, say, Julia Quinn, it wasn't half bad! There is enough suspense to make up for the lackluster characters. That seems to be Jane Feather's failing, of late. No Good, fully developed characters. I was just as indifferent to these characters as I have been to the characters in her previous novels. 

Perhaps it was the Regency setting, but this one seemed much better than the others I have read.  I'd say 3 out of 5 stars :)
