DAMAGED ITEMS, THREATS FROM SELLER, REVENGE FEEDBACK, YOU MIGHT BE NEXT....YOU SHOULD READ THIS!!

In May of 2006, I purchased a CD from seller "606brians" that, according to his listing, was in MINT CONDITION.  Upon receiving the item with numerous scratches on the disc, clearly NOT in mint condition, I contacted the seller, informing him of this.  Instead of a courteous response with a resolution to this problem, I promptly received a very nasty threat along with no attempt whatsoever from the seller to address the issue concerning the damaged item OR the fact that the listing was deceptive.  At the time I had 100% positive feedback and this seller wasted no time in letting me know that he would be more than willing to "ruin my perfect score if I left him anything other than positive feedback" (his words).  Me, wanting to keep my perfect feedback rating, but intent on letting this arrogant individual know that his threats and selling tecniques were very much unappreciated,  replied, explaining to him how ebay works and that he was abusing it.   That was enough for him to "ruin" my feedback.  His excuse?  He claims I was cursing like there was no tomorrow.  The fact?  I  said one word that wasn't even directed at him, I simply mentioned it in a sentence.   Know what it was?  I said simply that I honestly "didn't really give much of a S***" about the fact that the CD was scracthed, only that I didn't like the fact that the listing was misleading and that I was immediately threatened after informing him of this.  I do not use this language when I conduct business on eBay but with this particular seller, I suppose I didn't feel the need to hold my tongue for that one instance considering the horrible demeanor of Mr. 606brians.   I mean, who wouldn't want to let a word or two slip with such an arrogant and vengeful seller who doesn't listen to a single word you say??  His further claims would make me appear to curse more than a drunken sailor in a bar fight, but they are simply false.  It nearly seemed impossible to get any kind of point across to him, his outragous and irrational claims of wrongdoing on my part (and others) as well as his own inaccurate claims of rightousness on his part can only be described as "wack" and are simply incredible.  As anyone reading this can note, his feedback will speak for itself.  Other buyers have left feedback under the exact same circumstances as I:  they were threatened when they notified the seller that the item was not as described and then they were left negative feedback as revenge for the negative feedback that he himself rightfully received (others have similar circumstances).  Though "most" of his feedback is positive, it is quite obvious that a fair amount of that feedback was left simply because the buyer was afraid of what would happen if they DIDN'T leave it.  One can only contemplate what this guy's feedback would REALLY look like if buyers were free from his threats and fear of revenge feedback.   This individual is clearly in violation of eBay's policies and guidelines and, in my opinion, takes pleasure in not only making arrogant threats of "ruining perfect feedback scores", but carrying out those threats as well.  After bying from this seller, whom I deduce to be extremely incompetent as far as conducting business on eBay is concerned, I would highly rocommend that any persons wishing to buy or sell any item(s) should consider the facts presented in this message, along with the feedback that this individual has recieved.  Feedback is not something that a buyer/seller should be afraid to leave because the other party is making threats!  Feedback is used to express one's experience with a particular buyer or seller and so that others can determine whether or not that person is relaible.  If a seller is left nothing but positive feedback only because he threatened all their buyers into leaving it, that is fraud.  That makes people believe that the seller is competent and conducts good business, when in fact they do not.  People should be able to leave whatever feedback they want WITHOUT having to worry about getting revenge feedback when it's not deserved.  In a nutshell:  I DO NOT RECOMMEND CONDUCTING BUSINESS WITH SELLER 606brains AT  ALL!
