BushellCollectibles - Vintage finds from Antiques to Zippos!

"Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach him how to fish and he will eat for a lifetime."

I receive many e-zines from ebay sellers such as Lynn Dralle (thequeenofauctions), Skip McGrath, Feedblitz...they are free and you can usually pick-up something new to help you with your ebay sales.

One I received recently was about Aveeno discontinuing their eczema (sp?) cream and how the writer of this e-zine bought it up and sold several tubes for a very decent profit. So, off a lot of sellers went to their CVS's, Walgreen's, etc and scooped up what they could find and listed it and guess what? The market was flooded. Guess they thought they were the only one receiving this e-zine and many jumped on a band-wagon that was already full and apparently were not happy with the writer of this e-zine.

I did not run out and look for this item as realized there are probably at least 100+ people subscribing to the same e-zine. What I did take away from this one was, though, is the basic marketing tenet of figuring out the next best thing before everyone else does. Trying to figure out what that item is the hard part but the writer of that e-zine goes above and beyond and actually tries to educate the sellers using the techniques she uses. But a lot of people don't want to try and do the researching themselves, they want the information provided completely to them.

Ebaying, like any other selling platform, is not easy! It takes a lot of time, trial and error, researching, etc.

So on that note, I am off to go "fishing"!

Have a wonderful afternoon :)
