I've recently started supporting various stitching for charity groups - one of them is SOLAK who are a completely non-profit organisation that makes quilts and cushions for children and adults with long-term illnesses. You can stitch anything you like - they accept squares with any theme - just stitch a design (max size 4") in the middle of a minimum 6" square piece of aida or evenweave fabric and send it off to one of the organisers. They prefer white or cream colour fabric wherever possible. You will find full details of their requirements on their website. If you prefer you can "sign up" to stitch a square for a specific quilt which is themed to suit a recipient. You will find the SOLAK website at: www.stitchesofloveandkindness.com ![]() |
