Most Recent Posts First selling experiencePosted Sep-11-07 06:23:05 PDT Took ebay up on a free 3 item listing. 3 hrs. prior to end of auction, high bidder on one item decides they don't want item anymore. Believe there are ebay rules governing buying. Like, if you don't want item, DON'T BID! Bidder asks me to remove his bid. Being new, don't know how to do this and ebay rules state bidding cannot be changed (either 1 or 12 hrs. prior to end of auction). By this time, there is less than 45 mins. to end of auction and I just know I'm getting stuck w/item. YUP! Sent email to winning (deadbeat) and they reply saying "I told you I didn't want the item" yet they put such a high bid on it it would have been unreasonable for someone else to win the item without paying an exhorbitant amount. I decided to offer item as a second chance to the next highest bidder but when I clicked on it, it relisted the item with a new number and made it look like I had two of the same item up for sale. Finally got it all squared away but it was one hectic week of emails back and forth to ebay to take care of problem. Hopefully, my next selling experience won't be so bad! |
