Kissy Pop Thoughts

Oh, My Stars!

Ebay times, they are a-changin'!  Last fall, eBay introduced the star ratings, and just as we were getting accustomed to those, they announced feedback changes.!

Tomorrow, or actually, today by now, eBay rolls out major changes to the feedback system.  The biggest change is that sellers will no longer be able to leave buyers negative or neutral feedback.

The boards are buzzing with chat about these changes.  Maybe buyers are waiting to leave less than positive feedback!  Maybe we'll all have scads of negs when we wake up in the morning.  Maybe the world as we know it has gone off course.

Is the sky falling?

I don't know. I doubt it. My first few years in business, I left feedback immediately after shipping.  After a while, I started waiting until buyers had first left me feedback, but after eBay announced the changes in February, I started leaving positive feedback immediately after printing postage.

How that workin'?

So far; so good.

The truth is that I bend over backward to err on the side of caution with description, to communicate well, to ship quickly and to charge reasonable shipping prices.  I've rarely left a neg, and I don't remember ever having left a neutral.

I hope that my merchandise, my agreeable nature and my customer service will stand on its own merit and that I'll continue to earn positive feedback and high star ratings.  I hope that if for any reason I have not done that, my buyers will always know that I'm just an email or phone call away and am happy to work with them to resolve any issues that may come up in the course of our transaction.

Until next time,

Pam
