Good morning Judy and welcome aboard :-)

It's a beautiful Good Friday ~!~ We have 3 of our grandkids visiting from Jackson, MI and we had Grandma Judy's home made waffles for breakfast. We've enjoyed a dip in the hot tub and trying to decide how we want to spend the rest of the day...shopping probably ~!~ Savannah 12, Tyler 11, and Sierra 9...three of the most adorable grand kids in the whole world. They love coming to Grandma & Grandpa's house for the weekend~!~ The weather forecast called for snow but so far so good...we haven't seen any as yet. Thank God ~!~ I'm SOOOOO ready for Spring ~!~

Well, I spoke too soon....it's snowing ~!~ we are suppose to get 8" ....UGH ~!~

Well, it's back to work today...grandkids are going home and I must get some pics and listings posted. They are so sweet...brought me breakfast in bed and cleaned up after making their own breakfasts...doesn't get any better than this.

Grandpa had to pull out the snow blower and clean the driveway and walk. We ended up with about 10" of snow this morning. I have confidence that when it melts we will see the dafodills and tulips breaking the ground indicating that Spring is really here to stay ~!~ I can't wait to see that first little Robin pulling those juicy worms out of the ground and taking sprigs to the Colorado spruce that nestles in the corner of our rock garden to build the nest that will begin the life cycle of the eggs that will hatch those sweet little babies very soon. Life is so precious to God's creatures...even mankind who seems to take it for granted so much of the time. I'm so glad that His eye is on the sparrow and I know He watches me ~!~

We had an absolutely wonderful Easter Sunday ~!~ The Easter Play Production went on without a hitch...Thank God ~!~ We came home from church and had our Easter Dinner...just me and hubby ~!~ Very nice ~!~

I got a few things listed today..Gotta really hit the floor running tomorrow and get my pics made and more items listed. Sales are really good and feedbacks too ~!~ It is so wonderful to have a job that I enjoy so much and I can still say that after 8 years of ebaying ~!~ WOW...I love it ~!~

~NEWS FLASH~ I have just listed several fabulous CHICO'S items that just came in ~!~ I love CHICO'S easy care traveler's knits. They are so comfortable and absolutely won't wrinkle no matter how tight you pack them in your suit case ~!~ I also listed a few more designer suits...my speciality is career clothing ~!~ Hum....CAREER CORNER FASHIONS...Has a nice ring to it ~!~ LOL

She has computer skills that I can only dream about~!~ New consignment items to be listed tomorrow~!~ I have been a little under the weather for the past few days...went to the Dr. & got some antibiotics and they are starting to get me up and going again ~!~ I honestly don't know too much about blogging...so....if anybody wants to give me a shout with some ideas they would certainly be welcome to do so ~!~ THANKS ~!~

In other matters...We have had such an absolutely wonderful week spending Spring Break with 3 of our grandchildren, ages 9, 11, & 12. Our daughter and son-in-law, both professional people, invited us to spend this week with them and entertain the kids while they were out of school. We blew leaves, cleaned the house, prepared home cooked dinner meals, and I did try to do a little ebaying on the side.... had 5 small dogs in the house...3 of them are ours and always go where we go...boy...they can keep you entertained... Perfect house dogs so no problems there.

I am ready to get back home and start listing my Spring & Summer selections ~!~ I have so many great designer & namebrand items that I can't wait to get started. When we were blowing leaves yesterday I couldn't help but giggle when I saw the little spurts of new life peeping out of the moist soil telling me that Spring has arrived and we will be enjoying the beauty that God always displays each year as the season changes from Winter to Spring. Isn't is amazing how we can uncover such beauty by cleaning up the residual of Winter...it reminded me that we can do the same thing in our lives if we just rid ourselves of the things of life that pile up on us like the leaves that have covered up the flower beds in our lives.

My Goodness ~!~ April is half over and my sales certainly reflect that it is TAX month ~!~ Is any body else having the same kind of month ?? A good ebay friend reminded me that it is always this way in April...and I should know that...it happens every year at this time. TAXES take so much of our money and what do we get for it? War, Loss of Jobs, Higher Taxes, Highest Gas Prices in my lifetime. When I started driving gas was 33 cents a gallon. Now it is $3.33 a gallon. Ridiculous prices at the grocery store. Unaffordable Health Care..I have NO health insurance because we just don't have the money to pay for it ~!~ Are we totally loosing it? Thank God they haven't started charging us for our faith ~!~ We have to keep the faith and know that God is still in charge ~!~ Sometimes I wonder if we're going to make it and then He blesses us with another miracle ...He is so GOOD ~!~

The Mother Robin is buildiing her nest in the Colorado pine that nestles in the corner of our yard next to the front porch. I see her bring her twigs and ever so carefully laying them in place to prepare for her first Spring babies. She laid eggs twice last year and hatched 4 little babies the first time and 3 the second time.

Last week I made it outside on our first warm day and cleaned out all of last years residual of dried flower beds that will produce once again the beautiful colors of Spring. The little sprigs of green were very evident that more of God's beauty is getting ready to manifest from the same place where the old dead growth covered the ground and protected the bulbs during the cold months of Winter. It reminded me once again that God is protecting us from the wilds of this world and keeps us safe and warm in his tender care no matter how bad things seem to be and the word of the old quartet song came to mind that "His eye is on the sparrow and I know he watches over me"...~!~ GOD IS SO GOOD ~!~

I am sitting here in my jammies. It is so nice to be able to work from home. It is still cold here and that is unusual for OK. I am really ready for spring. We have a few things coming up and have already bloomed, but it really is to cold for that.
My ebay isn't doing to bad. And my things on the river are starting to take off. Yea!! Gotta get to work, if I want the sales to continue.

I've definitely got "Spring Fever"...Can't seem to get motivated to get in that ebay room and get to listing...anybody else having this problem? It's a beautiful "windy" sunny day today and I'd love to be outside but for the wind. We live right on Lake Michigan and seems like most of our days are windy...some just warmer than others.

We've been doing a little painting and fixing up these past couple of days...Finally got the basement stairway walls painted and a pretty border put up and also painted the steps. When we bought our house the basement was not finished so we have gradually been working on this project. It seems so odd to open the basement door and see a nice freshly painted walls and painted stairs...they have been bare wood for 3 years.

Well, gotta get busy...Must get busy ~!~ Ebay is calling me ~!~

WHEW ~!~ Tax season is behind us and we survived ~!~ I do believe it is the slowest time of the year for our ebay business. I had some of the greatest suits come in yesterday and can't wait to get them listed...NEW WITH TAGS ~!~ KASPER, ANN KLEIN, LARRY LEVINE ~!~

I finished the painting in my kitchen...I've decided to go with a new theme...Coffee, Espresso, and Latte's...I painted three walls a rich light moca and left one wall cream...It is so pretty ~!~ I'm looking for the perfect ceiling border to compliment my new decor. I'm adding specialty coffee decanters as an added touch to set atop of my cabinets with greenery accents. I also added an oak shadowbox over the BUNN Coffeemaker and put our favorite coffee mugs in the shelves. So far I'm very pleased with how it is turning out. I'm still looking for the perfect little swag to go over the kitchen window at the sink and placemats for the table. I'm sure I can find exactly what I'm looking for on ebay ~!~

Well, just wait a few hours and the weather will change. I'm listening to the news and again severe weather has taken more lives here in the Mid West. Let's all remember to pray for those who have been left homeless and injured from all of the flooding and tornados that have left so much devastation in their paths.

June does promise to be a good month for my ebay business ~!~ I am on pace to meet my goal in sales and my DSR is great ~!~ I've managed to meet the challenge 3 months now for the 15% discount ~!~

I'm considering making some changes to my shipping charges. I know the rates are ridiculous to ship but I'm trying to incorporate the shipping charges into my listing price and offer FREE shipping on my items. You will see that some of my listings offer FREE shipping now and I'll keep a close eye on the activity and see if this helps. I believe that once a customer pays for the item they just really flinch at the additional shipping expense. When they see the price of the item they know that shipping is already calculated into the price so they can bid with confidence that they won't be saddled with more costs in shipping and handling.

I was browsing for some Coffee Shop decorative items on ebay and saw that some sellers are still inflating shipping and offering .99 cent listings for pricey items. UNBELIEVABLE ~!~ They just don't get it ~!~

Keep watching my listings for more great savings on designer career fashions ~!~ I've had some fabulous pant suits and skirt suits come in and I can't wait to get started listing them. Well, Summer vacation has offically started. We are enjoying the beautiful sunshine and warm weather here in Michigan ~!~ Our strawberry patch is producing those wonderful juicy sweet berries and my husband picks them and I pack and freeze them.

Ebay is moving right along. I know many of us have been concerned about all of the changes implemented by ebay. I was so worried at first but things seem to be working themselves out. I still hate the new FB policies but I don't make the rules. I have found that getting disgruntled about things I can't change is a waste of my time and energy so I try to move on and keep trying to offer the best service and quality items that I always have and not worry about "what might happen"...My DSR ratings have actually gone up because I am more aware that I need to stay on my toes and get those packages shipped promptly ~!~ Previously I have always shipped a couple of times a week but now I'm shipping every day. Honestly, this is so much easier because the boxes don't pile up on me and customers are happy to get their items so quickly ~!~

Hey, I've added a new line of product to Career Corner Fashions...High Fashion Designer Perfumes and Colognes ~!~ I'm only listing women's fragrances right now but plan to add a line of men's fragrances soon ~!~ I'm so excited about this new addition to my store and it seems to be catching on.
