Archive - May 2008 To Be Pilled or NotPosted May-27-08 17:02:09 PDT And the battle has begun. Both sides have their battle plans.Your task is simple, give your dog his medication to treat his current health problem. Maybe if you sneak up on your dog while he is sleeping, quickly shoving the pill down his throat you will accomplish your goal, hopefully without getting bit. One, two, three and you are off to the races. Your dog is up looking at you like what happen but seems to have swallowed the pill. Now time for your victory dance. No wait. OH No, he just gagged out the pill. Of course, you have a plan B. You will hide the pill in canned dog food, hot dog, cheese, peanut butter or something you just know he will eat. Yes he is excited at the opporrunity to have a treat.Wow,he nearly takes your finger off to grab the treat Now you can do a victory dance. OH No, he ate the treat from the around the pill and out came the pill. And cats can be even more fun.

Eighty-five percent of all cats over 3 years of age have periodontal disease.Home care is important in the prevention of advance periodontal disease and loss of teeth. C.E.T. Chews for cats are a great part of any home care program. C.E.T. Chews for Cats are crunchy treats to which dual enzymes have been added that helps stop plaque from forming. C.E.T. Cat chews, in addition to the dual-enzyme system, provide natural mechanical abrasive action that helps clean the teeth by removing plaque and food debris. C.E.T. chews are designed to be fed one chew daily. In introducing these chews to your cat break the chew open to release the aroma for the first two or three days only, encouraging usage by your cat. After that your cat will beg for CET chews.(Only break the chews to help train your cat. Let your cat chew them so you don't lose any of the abrasive action). CET Feline Chews are a great tool to help prevent dental disease in cats. . CET Chews for Cats are available as both poultry and fish flavor in 30 cnt or 96 cnt bag. Fleas are hard to find on your pet whether your pet has short hair or long hair. Often you look and do not find any fleas yet your pet is scratching and acting like he has fleas. If you part the hair sometimes you glimpse the flea before he escapes into the unknown. The flea is not trying to escape from you. In fact the flea does not recognize you are even present. However when you part the hair you allow light into his world and fleas are extremely photosensitive. Other words, the flea is extremely sensitive to light to the point that light is painful. The flea quickly seeks the refuge at the base of the un-parted hairs where it is comfortable in the dark. Sometimes I will hear folks state they used Frontline Plus on their dog and it did not work. In fact I have heard them to go so far as say they had more fleas after applying Frontline Plus. This is a gross misunderstanding. Frontline Products works on the nervous system of the flea. Yes the flea has a nervous system. They lose their sensitivity to light so they leave the dark area at the base of the hair and come to surface where they will franticly move around. You are actually seeing the number of fleas that were hidden on your pet. As Frontline continues to work the flea will die, falling off your pet. This has become known as the flea dance of death For other pet heath care needs visit us at Cattyvet Sign up for our Feature Products and Specials Newsletter :) Owen | ||||
