Bring The Tropics to YouPosted Jul-22-08 09:16:15 PDT I love tropical plants. I bought a Bird of Paradise plant recently, and if you haven't seen one of these things grown they are magnificent. They look like a banana tree but have the beautiful bird of paradise flowers on them. I've wanted one for some time now and priced them at Home Depot but they were expensive, 99.00 for a mature plant. So, being the resourceful girl that I am, I decided to buy a juvenile plant and raise it up all on my own. I started my shopping for my BofP plant on ebay and found a great place. So, I bought the BofP, a Ginger Plant, and a Ti plant. Let me tell you, the people I found are based in Hawaii and their stock is great, for starter plants. They are also very nice and courteous when they contact you. I just really really was impressed by this seller, that is why I had to dedicate a whole blog entry to them. I started a new job recently and it's just me in the office. We have customers that come in from time to time but there are these long lulls in the traffic through here. So, where do I find myself? Yep, that's right, ebay. Man, I've gone on a serious shopping spree in the last few weeks. The thing is, I've become an ebay impulse shopper. I've gotta step away from the computer before I become a candidate for an ebay intervention. The Dark Knight and an interesting questionPosted Jul-22-08 06:36:28 PDT Updated Jul-22-08 07:02:50 PDT As I was looking through the morning news I came across a little blip about the movie The Dark Knight. It posed the question, "Would Batman be a blockbuster if Heath Ledger had lived?" A Very interesting question. Feedback...Just Gotta KnowPosted Jul-21-08 15:06:42 PDT Does anyone really read sellers feedback? I only ask because I came across a power seller this morning that had several negative feedbacks against them. This seller's response and/or excuse for their poor customer service consisted of repeating over and over, "how am I suppose to know, the credit card could have been stolen." I understand the concern over identity theft these days but doesn't that excuse over and over just come off looking paranoid. Also, they seemed to think that they shouldn't be getting negative feedback. Several times I noticed where this seller had responded by asking,"why leave negative feedback. I would have worked with you." I don't know about most of you, but when I buy something and I'm inconvenienced when something goes wrong I'm gonna let people know about it. At the very least, I want the seller to make it right and not make excuses. Anyway, that's just how I see it. |
