Hey Everyone!

 

We are embarking on a new quest.

We want to raise enough money to

purchase a wheel chair for Stacy.

 

Stacy has Cerebral Palsy.  She has

no use of  her lower extremeties and

is confined to a chair...this is true.  The

Chair she is in now is an old push wheel

and does not allow her much mobility

at all.

 

Standing wheelchair

 

A standing wheelchair may seem like a contradiction in terms but this new vehicle from the inventor of the Segway, Dean Kamen, may bring hope and mobility to paraplegics. It resembles the two wheel design of the Segway with a back support, allowing wheelchair users to stand upright in the wheelchair. The view from standing up is a refreshing change from the usual seated position. You can actually talk to friends and families face to face.

There are pictures of a young girl at  her senior prom dancing face to face with her date.  It also shows this young lady at her school library eye level to her friend at the table.  It even shows how this chair can go in sand at the beach. It goes up curbs and lifts you to eye level at the bank, supermarket or shopping mall. 

 

I don't know what the cost but I do know it's only money and where there is a will there is a way.  Since prayer is the most powerful force in the univers let's ask creator to provide this chair to little Stacy who is entering Jr High School in the fall.  Our goal is to have it wrapped and under the tree for christmas.  Oh sure there are evaluations and test drives and all of that but if we play this right she'll be the happiest girl in the world this Christmas morning.
