flute making and pricing

as you all can see i have a few bad feed backs, but with a bit of effert i have found that the feed backs come from other flute builders, the get upset because of my pricing and me driving the price down, all of our flutes are hand made by myself and wife that are true native american, we make them in a small shop i have at home in north carolina. we build aword winning flutes and over the last year or so we have sold hundreds of flutes that everyone was and is happy with, we dont make them with fancy tools and things like that but the are all very well made. i dont mean to upset anyone but the pricing on these flutes on ebay is out of this world and i dont understand it.

If you are making them... you can sell them however you want... forget about other people. I think they are gorgeous!

I have a rattle, two flutes and a drum by Goldenhawk. I wish I either lived closer to NC or had more money...I would have more! I am retired and thrilled to be able to get this quality at a price I can afford. His communications and attitude have been both outstanding and charming. I will keep watching for another of his "good deals" because he's so outstanding! Some of us appreciate dedication...

I have not had the chance to be paired with one of your flutes but the work is beautiful. I wish other flute makers would follow your lead and make flutes at prices that anyone can afford.

i agree that it is outrageous. no one really wants to pay the price for our work. i make flutes as well and other jewelry aand more. i do no sell mine on ebay as there are too fakes or false sellers. i had bought once and when it said real native american made i got it and was disappointed as the sticker was still on it made in china..lol..so i check out before i bid now. your flute bags were even cheaper than i could make. i will enjoy them as well.your feedback shows all..and lol as far as getting rich, i know not possible. you show fine craftsmanship.. i have been asked by many to put up on ebay but i do better at powwows and swap meets or craft shows..i will be hitting trail hard soon..safe journeys and i am sure i will buy again. wado!

I just purchased a cedar flute as well for my daughter Walela's B-day. I couldn't be more pleased with the quality of the craftsmanship and intonation of the flute itself....The heart that goes into the making of this instrument is obvious. Thank you for the giving of your gift to the rest of us.

Hi everyone Mrs Goldenhawk here, I want to thank each and everyone that has purchased from us and the ones that keep coming back for more.Goldenhawk hasnt been feeling very well and we are doing the best that we can to keep everyone happy in making of the flutes and other native american items that we sell, we have slowed down some because of his health, so I have stepped in and doing my best to keep things afloat.I want to also thank you for the prayers that everyone has sent our way, not sure how much more that we can do, but we will try our best to keep the native american heritage alive and going on our part, so once again thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Blessings to all
Mrs. G

Boozhoo(Hello),

It is always good to come across someone traditional who seeks to spread something beautiful to this world. This by sharing your beautiful gift of flute making, I look forward to acquiring many flutes from you in the future. These I will gift at the Sundance and other ceremonies and gatherings we have here, plus a few for myself..lol. While it is always good to have others speak well of us and our work, the true reward is what the Creator gives us.And somethings tells me, you will be very happy in the end. Keep speading that beautiful sound to the world My Brother, Megwetch(Thank you)for it.

This worlds made up of good and bad my flute was created by one of the good people whos one the best. My flutes owned with pride its beautiful and sounds awsome.I see the listings changed for the benefit of the Jealous Greedy ones which is unfair that goldenhawk had to do this its shameful
and i feel so sorry this has happened eBay reaches the whole of the world its big enough for every seller and buyer without envy rearing its ugly head.
i live in the U.K and believe in live and let live what kind of persons are they to begrudge and act so inhuman to anyone fighting illness while at the same time giving pleasure at low cost prices to so many WHAT A GREAT MAN to do this not for wealth or personal gain and definately not thinking of himself first.
And i wish an abundance of Blessings for Goldenhawk his talented Lady and all his loved ones.

i would like to take a min. and thank everyone for there kind words. in the past week we have been trying to get our things right with everyone. it seems you cannot list an item as native American unless every item attached to it is also native American made such as glue, leather and some woods also. we have been harassed by a certain group on the Internet that is way out of line seems this group was started by another flute builder, and has the people the have sold flutes to try to leave bad feed back on some of our items.

well i am here to let everyone know that the flute building business. is tough. there has gotten to where there is tons out there from beginners to oldies, well i am an oldie. i build flutes and other items because that's all i can do anymore. my wife stayes by my side day and night watching me.like a lot of you know i have some health problems that dont allow me to do much anymore so this is how i support my family. i want each and every one of you that reads this to know that i will and have always said i will put one of my flutes up against any flute on the market. i try my best to make everyone as happy as i can so does my wife. i have other family members that are flute builders as well so dont think i am running a deal on anyone. if you need a sound file you got it.

i have tought my kin as well as my wife to make flutes so the family tradition will last forever. so goldenhawk flutes is here to stay. if you have in the past read any of these post please contact me and i will be glad to fill you in on whats going on.
