If you are not already integrating web 2.0 tactics into your auction campaigns, then you are not fully utilizing all the resources available to help drive traffic to your Ebay efforts. So, Chris Swain recommends you get started as quickly as you can.

First, you need an understanding of what the Internet 2.0 is. Simply put, it is where you go and interact with others on the Internet. Ok, Mr. Swain what do you mean? Well there are the social networking sites like Myspace.com,  Facebook.com, YouTube.com or Squidoo.com. That’s just a few there are countless others. These are places where people go to connect with others in an online community. Perhaps, if someone was interested in poker, they may find that ebook you wrote on the subject useful. They might also be interested in that rare deck of cards you found at that estate sale last weekend. The point is, it’s a place where you can find targeted traffic and send them to you auction, or better yet your Ebay Store.

Second, there are the social book marking sites like Digg.com, Delicious.com, Yonoo.com and literally dozens more. These are places that allow you to categorize, comment and rate the things people would search for on the internet. Hmmm, maybe an auction. In the event you rate a popular article on fly-fishing, another fly fisherman may look you up and find your auction. Better yet, what is you wrote an article about your auction’s product and the article people were rating “somehow” directed them to your ebay power-seller store. That’s an advance tactic I will illustrate in another post.
