I am taking some time off from eBay! I never thought it would become so time consuming. One of the Goals I set was to reach $3000 in base sales in 31 days and I exceeded that milestone. I actually broke even on all of my inventory investment and any money I make for the rest of the year will be profit.
I owe a lot of my success to my family and friends for helping to find items to market, giving me advice, and all of the encouragement they give me. I also owe some gratitude to my teachers and their wisdom.
One of my goals is to become a powerseller and I have met most of the criteria for that. My sales and feedback are above and beyond the minimum requirements and all I have to do is let another 45 days elapse and not break any rules in that time.
I have had only one minor rules violation since May when I started out. I explained that situation in a previous blog, so I won't mention the particulars again here. I do understand that my fellow ebay sellers had to report me before eBay's system removed my listing. I wonder how many of the sellers are in secret partnerships and collaborate together on squashing any competition.
I like competition and if I can manage a 1000 pound mare on her irritable days, then I can surely hold my own. You know the metaphor here.
eBay still has a long way to go with rules and enforcement. I doubt if things will change anytime soon. I don't mind the wait though. I am having fun! | |
