Hello everyone!  I am a recently beginning collector of Satsuma wares, and am trying to learn all that I can about these wonderfully beautiful and unique pieces.  I have FINALLY found a webpage about some fo the markings, but know very little else, with the exception of the history of the Satsuma region in japan and how this style of pottery began.  I know NOTHING of the Royal Satsuma, and was wondering if anyone can further educate me, especially since I am starting to spend hundreds of dollars for the pieces!  ANY help would be GREATLY welcomed!  THANK YOU!
