To all those who want to stop advertising on the eBay blogs...Really, there are THOUSANDS of blogs that you can join online, free of charge, any time, day or night.. for example,

you can join a WebMD blog and ask people to stop airing their ailments...

join a Harry Potter weblog and tell people you're tired of hearing about Harry, Hermione, and Hedwig...

hook up with an investment webring and ask everyone to keep their portfolios to themselves...

check out a Jehovah's Witness blog and wonder aloud if people really need to make such a big deal about God...

Oh lighten up, just trying to shed some humor on the situation. I mean, come ON. This is EBAY, and you want people to not advertise their listings on the blog page?? Good grief. I mean, think about how silly that sounds. Really, if bloggers had the ability to cancel out posts they consider inappropriate these might be the first to go. I admire your sense of self-worth and your confidence in yourself, trying to get everyone to change the way they've been blogging since eBay started this little post-fest because you don't like it. But if you don't like seeing posts that advertise listings, I think you really should consider another blog, and one that's probably not based entirely on buying and selling.

WHY SO MANY COMPLAINTS ABOUT SHIPPING COSTS??

I don't understand, really, the posts I read from people complaining about shipping costs. For one thing, you can't really compare shipping costs unless you look at the cost of the item. Say, for example, one seller is selling a book for five dollar, with three dollars shipping. Another seller might list the book for three dollars, with five dollars shipping. This way they get listed as a lower selling price, which is to their advantage, but you pay the SAME amount of money. There's NO difference here at all for the buyer. Yes, there are some crazy people who have like $30.00 shipping costs for a small item, but they're not going to do well and will eventually fold from either lack of customers or will get tossed out because of their negative feedback. If you don't like a seller's shipping price, don't bid. It's pretty simple. I don't understand why so many people complain. I think it's because if a seller is listing an item at .99 cents, they want to pay only .99 cents for the item and then the actual shipping. That's not realistic, that's actually just greedy on the part of the buyer. Remember, sellers have TONS of fees they have to cover for, including eBay listing fees, final value fees, Paypal fees, auction management site fees, photo hosting fees, office supplies, shipping costs, tape, boxes, bubble wrap, packing peanuts, labels, invoices, and gas for shlepping everything over to the Post Office. Also, it's easier for everyone to have a set shipping price, even if items don't weigh the same. It's simply not cost efficient to weigh and figure shipping for every single item that's being listed, and answer tons of emails as to the cost to everyone's zip code. Not to mention having to change the shipping fees in every single ad that you list. As a buyer, I like to see the shipping cost right up front. I find shipping calculators annoying. So there's more reasons for a seller to have a set shipping price than not. I hear other eBayers complain about how some sellers "inflate" the shipping price and "pocket the difference". Some sellers even get negative feedback over this!!! Dudes, what's the deal? You think someone is getting rich on a $1.50 handling fee, sitting there cackling evilly while poring over his piles of gold? I do some buying online and there are huge online companies that charge the same or more than the average eBay seller. It's a seller's prerogative to charge what he wants for shipping. Everyone wants to have their cake and eat it too. Why so much complaining??? Ebay is a GREAT place to save money. Why the constant whining that we can't save MORE?

american idol results.. who got cut?
