Most Recent Posts Hi There!Posted Aug-08-08 22:16:11 PDT Updated Aug-08-08 22:16:53 PDT I've been away from home for a while. Perhaps, I missed a couple of messages since eBay doesn't hold messages in inbox long enough this time. If you have not received any reply from me, would you mind resend your message ? Thanks, Amazon KindlePosted May-27-08 09:25:57 PDT Updated May-27-08 09:27:03 PDT I got Amazon Kindle recently. This is the best eBook reader I can afford at this moment. Its wireless service is not available in Australia however Amazon has eMail service for format conversion and dedicated web page for downloading books. Alas, Amazon does not sell me Kindle books although I've purchased many books from Amazon.com. They ask me US residential address to register one-click that is the only purchasing method for Kindle books. Isn't anyone selling Amazon Kindle books for the people in outside of US ? Local PickupPosted Apr-18-08 18:14:26 PDT PayPal is always recommended by eBay. But I start feeling maybe cash on local pickup is enough for garage sale. What is the benefit of PayPal for local pickup? Is cashless payment is convenient for you if you always use a credit card for shopping and don't carry much money usually ? AuctivaPosted Apr-18-08 07:59:22 PDT I start using Auctiva. As soon as signup complete, it converted my current listing into Auctiva. Those converted listings look bit noisy to me. Anyway, see how it works.... MiscommunicationPosted Apr-17-08 06:54:49 PDT Updated Apr-17-08 06:55:23 PDT What kind of action do you take after an unfortunate incident ? What should have been done ? Seller had a made-in-japn NTSC TV that works with 100V power supply, had used it for watching US and Japanese videos, sold on eBay but in Australia. Seller received a complaint after it was sold with reasonably low price. ------------------------------------- Hi Buyer, I'm sorry to hear that. It is NOT my intention to gain money with fraud. I'll return you $20 since we are just getting rid of things before we move. Let me know your PayPal account or bank account details. I'll send you money back. It was a very good and expensive NTSC monitor brought from Japan and we used watching NTSC videos. Most Australian VCR and DVD player supports US and Japan NTSC video play back. However, Australia TV broadcasting is PAL, not NTSC. I have clearly described 100V power and NTSC on specifications shown on the top column of the item description. There are people from many countries in Australia using many appliances from many other countries. May I suggest you get it back from local TV shop and sell it on eBay maybe this time as a good NTSC monitor for video enthusiast ? They might know 100V power thing better. When you sold it higher than $20, give me $20 back :-) It was an unfortunate incident. I should have asked you a question about how you use it but I was hesitant to ask private question. That's what I learned this time as eBay beginner. Kind regards, Seller <buyer@foobar.com> wrote: Hi Seller, I'm disappointed with the television as I had to take it to a t.v. Shop as the power is not in accordance with Australia and they told me the t.v. Will not work here. As a result I gave it to the shop for them to perhaps use for spare parts. I really think that you should not even try to sell these goods in Australia; I purchased the television in good faith and more information should have been noted on your item description; lesson hard learnt for me and as a result I have nothing to show for my $20. I'm a bit doubtful with respect to the bidding history too; something I will have to take up with ebay. Buyer. -------------------------- Perhaps, Seller should have mentioned more about ideal use and also a step down transformer requirement.... |
