Primitive Staining Recipe and Altered Art book

I just completed work on my primitive staining recipe e pattern. I love the look it provides. You can stain your finished item instead of doing it before you sew. Also when you seal the doll it looks almost like a worn leather.

Best wishes,

Jenny

New Paintings done this week!

I was able to get some new designs out of the paint brush this weekend. I have an ironing board that has SIMPLIFY motto on it. --We could all benefit from living by that motto!

It has rolling hills and sheep with a very tall tree on it. I have it listed now if anyone wants to stop by may page and see it.

Also I have a set of 4 plates and 1 HUGE charger plate! The charger has an old Salt Box House and the plates each have a different farm animal. I don't have it listed as of tonight but maybe tomorrow. I think you will love the ole ROOSTER!

Take care,

Jenny

No Creating today

The family and house needed attention today. So I had to break away from my "toys" to get some work done. Appointments had to be met. The laundry is always calling me. And my Studio needed a bit of tidying up too.

Hopefully tommorrow I will get up in the woods and find some inspirations for this new line of primitives I am working on. I have something in my head but it hasn't quite told me what it is going to be yet.

At 70 degrees here today, I opened the windows to let in some fresh air. The breeze felt like early spring and now I am anxious to get some plants out.

Best wishes, Jenny

Busy Day Creating New Designs

This has been a BUSY BUSY day. I was in my studio most of the day working out design ideas and tinkering with some new concepts.

I think you will really like my new line of Primitives. They will becoming to market in about two weeks if all goes well. I am not following any single style or "rule" for prims. I can just say they will each be truly unique and from the heart designs. Isn't that what real folk art is all about anyway.

I have some paintings I am working on too. I work on two and sometimes three at a time. Just depending on which one "talks" to me that day. I may go for weeks without painting --then the rags, sponges, rocks and leaves call me. I just use what I find for painting utensils. Occassionally I will use a brush but I like the unique characters these "make dos" provide.

The day was busy but it was wonderful to get the chance to work on things so close to my heart.

Best wishes, ~Jenny

Primitives --Recreated

I am intrigued by the needfuls. Who held it, what did they do with it?

Everything Colonial and Everything Primitive catches my heart. That is why I am working on a new line of primitive style designs.

They will be unique duplpications of cherished belongings forgotten in time.

I am going to offer some patterns so you can recreate them yourselves if you like. Full instructions included of course. If there is an item you are interested in but have been unable to locate a pattern please contact me. I may have a unique pattern for you in my trunk.
