When I wear my shirt, I get a lot of looks, comments, and questions.  One of the questions I am most often asked is "What does it mean?"  "What is the symbolism?" 

Part of being native American is that you are allowed to draw your own conclusions about life and its meanings.  That includes art.  So we ask you:  "What does it mean to you?"

Each person has their own experiences and their own way.  No one tells them what to think or how to feel.  You can post your ideas here or on the website.  If you are moved by the shirt, do share.

One thing I will share with you -- the original pastel, which we will try to put on the website soon, was done in several colors.  We could only do the shirt in four.  The lips, especially, are not red in the original.  They are more of a purpleish color.  The original has a depth that the shirt couldn't capture.  We are planning to offer the original in a lithograph in the near future.

Our new shirt -- available immediately on Ebay -- needs a name badly.  We don't know what to call it.  Our artist has suggested that we let the public name it.  So we are running a "Name the Shirt" promotion.  You can name the shirt by going to http://www.comanchedesign.com/promo and submitting your suggested title.  The promotion will run until July 1, at which time the top 10 names will be put to a public vote.  The final name will be announced on July 15.
