Jesus in a Bottle

"Dear woman, why do you involve me?"  Jesus replied.  "My time has not yet come."
His mother said to the servants, "Do whatever he tells you."

John 2:4-5

Mary submitted to Jesus' way of doing things.  She recognized that Jesus was much more than her human son - he was the Son of God.  When we bring our problems to Christ, we usually think we know how he should take care of them.  We pray and ask him not only to help and fix the problem, but we tell him HOW to fix the problem.  We attempt to keep Jesus in a box and we pull him out like a genie from a bottle in order to make requests of him and bark orders.  That is not the God we serve.  He generally has a completely different plan; a much better plan.  Like Mary, we should submit and allow him to deal with the problem as he sees best.

God bless you,

Amen to that. It seems more often than not The Lord wil answer not in my way but of course in a better way.
