Two Red BlackBerry smartphones from Vodafone

Vodafone have launched two new BlackBerry smartphones in red. The BlackBerry Curve 8310 and the BlackBerry Pearl 8110.

The BlackBerry Curve 8310 Red is the smallest and lightest BlackBerry to come with a full QWERTY keyboard. It’s packed with a 2 megapixel camera, media player, built-in GPS, expandable memory, Voice Dialing, BlackBerry Maps and trackball navigation. Plus, you get all the core functionality you’ve come to expect in a BlackBerry smartphone - email and text messaging, instant messaging, web browser and advanced phone functionality.

The BlackBerry Pearl 8110 is an easy-to-use messaging device that gives you access to your emails and the web while you’re on the move. Weighing just 91g, it will fit comfortably in your pocket. The BlackBerry Pearl 8110 comes complete with advanced phone and multimedia features. It has a 2 megapixel camera with flash and video record, built-in GPS, expandable memory, web browser, voice control, stereo Bluetooth and a handy 3.5mm stereo audio jack socket for listening to your music collection.

Nokia N78 now available on O2

Free on a 18 month contract from £30 per month, or on a 12 month contract from £40 per month.

The Nokia N78 is a fully featured multimedia phone. With built-in GPS you can find your location quicker, and automatically tag your photos with your location which you can share with your friends when you upload the pictures online. Music playback is a main feature of the N78, with up to 24 hours playback, a 3.5 mm audio output jack and the ability to easily synchronise your music collection or rip CDs directly to your Nokia N78. There’s an FM radio built-in and also an FM transmitter, which allows you to play your music collection from your phone to a nearby stereo (such as your car radio) using a free FM frequency.

The 3.2 megapixel camera has autofocus and a Carl Zeiss lens. it can take photos at a resolution of 2048×1536 pixels and can record video at 15fps. Your can ppload your photos and video to your favourite online community like Flickr or YouTube in a single key press. High speed Wi-Fi and HSDPA allows you to upload media quickly.

Sony Ericsson W580i Green

The Samsung F480 Tocco is a 3G touchscreen phone with HSDPA 7.2Mbps for high speed data access. It has a 5 megapixel camera and a large 2.8 inch display with a haptic touchscreen interface.

T-Mobile MDA Compact IV

Expected this month, the MDA Compact IV is the T-Mobile version of the HTC Touch Diamond. It will also become available as the O2 Xda Diamond. But the T-Mobile version has nicely rounded edges and it weighs less - only 98g compared to the 110g of the other two models. Apart from this and a few minor cosmetic changes, all three devices are near identical.

The T-Mobile Compact IV is a slim touchscreen phone powered by the highly customisable Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system. It has a clever TouchFLO 3D system, in T-Mobile’s white and magenta colour scheme, that allows your photos and music to be searched as you rotate the phone, or via finger gestures on it’s impressive screen.

The screen itself is a 2.8 inch TFT-LCD with full VGA resolution meaning you have plenty of room to view pictures from the onboard 3.2 megapixel camera, or movies stored on the 4GB internal memory. Browsing the web on this phone is great too as the large touchscreen is complimented by broadband like speed thanks to the HSDPA and Wi-fi data connectivity.

Built in GPS completes the impressive feature list and with all this packed into a such a good looking fashion phone, T-Mobile are sure to have a best seller. As soon as the first deals emerge we’ll post news here.
