My First Sale

I was so excited when I saw that I sold my home theater system.  It was my first sale on Ebay.  I didn't charge enough for shipping and instead of making $30 on it I only made like $9 because I didn't charge enough for shipping.  Now I know to do a little research on shipping before you set a price.  I've learned from that and now I'm ready to sell my next item.

I did the same thing on my 1st sale, then I bought a postage meter. Congrats!

I discovered right away that a postage scale is the best investment out there for selling. Congrats and good luck with the future on ebay

when you list something, you can either do a flat rate shipment (everyone pays the same no matter where they are) or you can do a zip code specific postage rate, according to the person's zip code ("calculated shipping rate"). all you have to do is weigh the item. easy to do with a home scales. (just weigh yourself and then weigh yourself holding the item and then subtract) add a little for handling costs and put in the ways you offer to ship (parcel post, ups, etc).

i have used both flat rate and calculated rate and have never had any problem....

god bless!!

Congradulations - I have been burned with shipping also - then I started using a scale - At least you made something and didn't end up totally in red.
