Negative Feedback - PLEASE READ!

Hey all,

I just wanted to explain the negative feedback on my profile.  I ordered 6 NES games from a seller on April 23rd.  On April 24th I made the payment for the order in full.  The order was shipped on April 24th.  I got a email from paypal on April 24th saying the order was shipped and that there was a tracking number.  A few days later I went to track my package at usps.com, I put in the tracking number as the seller sent it to me, and the number was wrong.  I tried it several time just to make sure I didn't mistype it.  On May 3rd I sent them my first message via ebay asking about the tracking number.  Gave it 3 days and still no answer.  So I sent another message via ebay on May 6th.  Later on in the day on May 6th I got an email (at my reg address) asking me to leave feedback for the NES games I bought.  At this point 12 days have gone buy and I'm starting to wonder where my order is.  I can't track it because the number he gave me isn't correct and he isn't responding to my messages.  So I sent them an email asking why they aren't getting back to me, and some info about the tracking number.  On May 8th he finally replyed back to me, asking me to give the package another week to see if it arrives.  I ask him about the tracking number and he just tells me that it should be the right number.  So I give the package another week, and at this point I'm thinking that he strapped the package to the back of a horse and sent it across the country.  The week goes by, and and it's now 21 days since I paid for the items and they were "shipped", and the items finally get here.  The package was marked "Priority Mail".  Now from what I understand Priority Mail is suppose to take 2-3 business days.  I paid around $8 for shipping.

The package that came had four of the six games I bought.  He refunded me for the other two games.

So I went to leave feedback for the items I bought, and because of the fact that he offered to refund me for the two games that didn't arrive, I decided to leave neutral feedback and I said "Poor Communication, slow shipping." and "Poor communication, slow shipping! Gave me a refund for the items I didn't get." On the 4 items I did get from him.

I logged on this morning on ebay, and I see I got negative feedback.  I look at my feedback and the seller gave me negative feeback that stated "WHATEVER JUST ANOTHER PIECE OF TRASH THAT LEAVES BAD FB OVER PENNY ITEMS, BEWARE" and "SELLER BEWARE, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS PERSON, ADD TO BLOCK LIST RIGHT NOW!"

On the other two items that he refunded me I gave him negative feedback that stated - "Seller acts like a child! I paid ontime,I left neutral feedback and got negative"

It's people like this that make feedback worthless on ebay.  He is acting like a child.  And now because of it, my feedback is ruined.  So I wanted to write this to let whoever wants to look it up why the negative feedback is there.

Your not suppose to let the feedback rateing be personal.  And is it me or it doesn't matter if your selling "penny items" or a Rolls-Royce, you should put your all into each sale you make.

I understand that they can't be held accountable for shipping time, but that was just the iceing on the cake, if you will.  But the fact that he took forever to get back to me, and the whole feedback thing....It left me with a sour taste in my mouth.

You can't hold a person responsible for shipping time. Packages do get delayed for no logical reason. Did you look at the date on the package. Delivery confirmation tracking does not show up until the package has been scanned in the post office it is going to. I would have been pissed if you left me a neutral for post office issues if I did indeed ship immediately.

I'm sorry that happened to you. You were trying to leave honest feedback, and they get a childish attitude about it. You know, when I look at someone's feedback...I also look at the type of feedback they leave for others...whether it's professional or in their case, childish and uncalled for. As a seller I know I have made mistakes...and I expect honest feedback on those transactions. If a buyer says that shipping is slow and it takes over 21 days and their payment cleared right away, I would respond by apologizing for the delay...not striking them with an unfair negative. :(

I do agree with gymmomj that you can't put all the responsibility on the seller for slow shipping...but what they can be held accountable for is their lack of communication and response to the neutrals you left for them.

just always check on the package and see when it was shipped. I have that stated on my site and to please check on package before feedback is left if it is due to slow shipping. I could go on and on but that is the bottom line.

It makes NO sence to me that the Seller's expect the buyer's to leave feedback first. If I pay for an item as soon as the sales goes off,why is the feedback not given then??
It's like they are holding us hostage over a feedback for paying on time!!
I always give them time to make it right and if that dosen't work then they should be left the BAD or Negitive Feedback!
