Life is sure good TODAY!!I love to wake up to a few sales and a few NEW friends at MySpace! Such a Joy to drink my coffee while sending e-mail! Sipping my coffee while answering the new questions sent to: AskDanna that came in during the night. I do love to meet new people and I enjoy most to encourage others to get on the SELLING PATH to Success! I have learned SO MUCH since I joined eBay in 1997. Now my children have left the nest. I have the energy to teach others the tricks I have learned over the years! AND, since writing is my TRUE LOVE, I decided to incorporate it into my eBay World! This is the GREAT THING about LIFE! We pick our own paths to take. We chose our own Destiny! Should I list items or should I play on message boards? Should I answer email OR, should I waste time? I am not generally a morning person at all. I decided to get up since I felt a bit awake and start my day with eBay! Sure enough, I wake up to 2 sales during the night AND while I was sending out the e-books I sold, someone came along and bought a blouse! Was so awesome to see a sale while I was working on another sale! What a good sign that today is going to be a prosperous eBay selling day! Plenty of eBay for us ALL to be Blessed and Prosper! HAPPY EBAY SELLING DAY TO ALL! Sell a HEAP sell it CHEAPPosted Aug-24-06 21:02:28 PDT With Gas prices the way they are, People have to be careful what they spend their money on. Shoppers are looking for CHEAP items. My feelings are that its time to drop prices. Sell a HEAP and Sell it CHEAP. Move it in, MOVE IT OUT! Keep the flow going!I was thinking the other day.... how TOUGH things must be for the single mom. She works hard all day. Could have the baby in Daycare. One in school. Comes home at the end of the day . The minimum wage does not go up , but the gas and milk does. How can she make it? How can it possibly even out? The gas driving back and forth and just to pay for Milk is very expensive! They both have gone sky high. BUT ...... Her pay is still the same. I can not imagine how people are making ends meet with no pay increase. So..... keeping all this in mind ......... SELL YOUR STUFF CHEAP! Clothing, school supplies, STUFF ........ I was inspired to write a new Guide about how I buy Happy Meals and turn them into Savings! It is something I have done for years! Even my mom and my auntie buy Happy Meals and they bring me the toys to add to my savings account! Sounds silly but it has worked for me for a long time! Well, now I don't eat out as much as I used to BUT when I do, I will pick up a Happy Meal most of the time! Never know when that one Happy meal toy, may pay the electric bill! Or even buy a house! My goodness did you see the Pez on the Pulse? It was at $32,000.00 last time I checked! Can you imagine finding something like that to sell? WOW! Ravin made me think about the times I had sent messages to other eBay sellers just out of the Blue! One time a seller had a little girls dress listed in the boys pants area. I was like WHAT? They had low feedback and were quite new to selling. I asked seller a question and pointed out that the sale would go much better if the item were placed in the Girls Dress area! Poor Seller did not even know it. Here she had listed a pair of boys pants first and never changed the area. She could not thank me enough and it made my day, I had done a Good Deed! I have also noticed sellers have an item spelled WONG in the title. That makes the item a GOLD MINE for those buyers just seeking eBay land for spelled WONG items. Many people just WAIT to "Prance" on those that have spelled something wrong in the title. A buyer can lose money with that simple mistake. I encourage you to DO A GOOD DEED today and help a fellow eBay'er! Seller or Buyer, reach out and LEND a Hand. Ask a question, Make a comment or a suggestion that will HELP! I have several items to add to my store today! All this talk about closing stores and Boycott this and that, but HOW could I even think about this kind of thing? Even if I have to give ebay a few more pennies I will STILL make a profit and I will STILL get my paycheck this week! eBay is my livelihood. My bread and butter! I love it and have been doing it since 1997. I quit my job and have made it WORK ever since! Ebay has allowed me to be a SAHM (stay-at-home-mom) since 1998 when I quit my job officially and WENT FOR IT! I am sure glad I did because I am proud to say I never missed, NOT one:: Soccer Game, Football Game, Girl Scout event, Boy Scout Camp, Birthday Party, family event, Holiday....... And was available to pick up a SICK kid from school INSTANTLY! While other kids in the area were "Latch Key Kids" mine would come home to Fresh Baked cookies or some sort of yummy snack and ME waiting for them with open arms ready to hear about the day! My children have been the most important thing to me in my life and because of eBay I could be there for them 24/7. I had found my NICHE in life! I found a wonderful system that I simplified and managed. I could take a few days off and power-list those items as needed when I came back. I could go away and make money while I was gone! It is the perfect system if you give it your all! Work it out to meet your needs AND Simplify it to YOUR system! THATS the Key .. to SIMPLIFY it and Stay FOCUSED! The drama, message boards, and Chat rooms will NOT PAY YOUR BILLS !!!!!!! Alas, My children have left the nest ((don't make me cry)) .......... NOW .......... ((clap,clap,clap)) 2) I made the pulse! ((yee-haw)) 3) One of my group rooms reached 207 members! ((WOW)) 4) Sold 6 advertising spots! ((jumping for joy)) 5) Met an eBay friend and we are doing a Business Card Swap! ((how cool is that?)) 6) Local Radio Station contacted me AND wants to do an interview with me about the 1st book I wrote about Selling on eBay! 7) Jed Clampet Sent me a message on My space today! ((Granny moved out he said)) AND TO TOP IT ALL OFF!!! I just sold, from my eBay store : Chic Faux Fur Shabby Pink Purse with Bon-Bon Tassel !!! I picked it up last summer at a CHURCH sale that was on a Sunday!! I was like WHAT KIND OF A CHURCH has a Garage Sale on a Sunday?? yep you guessed it, a Jewish one!! Drained ....... just drainedPosted Aug-09-06 18:15:40 PDT I am so warn out! What a long day. The heat sure gets to ya! I can not count all the times i jumped in my pool today trying to cool down! Thanks to all for the prayers and support. I greatly appreciate it ! I will try not to have a pity party tomorrow and start a fresh ...... My hubby had some tests done today at the hospital and they called for me to come pick him up ....... NO problem, I went and walked through the place then as i walked more and more .. I started to remember that my dad had surgery there ........ OMG I had to go to the same waiting room and I lost it .... could not get to a bathroom quick enough before I fell apart ............ geeesh .. Then I caught my breath, and went to the desk, they said I was in the WRONG area .. sent me to ANOTHER area following a nurse to show me the way ......... SUDDENLY , there were the same cubicles my dad had chemo treatment in ... The very same one where I held his hand during his visit and OMG i lost it .......... I could hardly talk and breath ........... My poor husband was on the bed drinking juice, he took one look at my face and HE THOUGHT HE WAS Dieing!!! He thought I had gotten bad news! I felt like a fool as i tried to talk and the nurses were like WHAT IS WRONG with you,,, lol ...... I pointed to the cubical and said my dad had chemo there and it just FREAKED me out to be here ............. My poor hubby I did not even care about, I just wanted to get the HELPINS out of that place ....... Was almost like a panic attack ......... Strange how I had that dream this AM too (see heart belongs to daddy post) ........... BUT.. Got my act together as I LOVE to fall into my eBay work ......... EBAY IS MY ESCAPE ...... I love the challenge to see what I can create today since I am more on a mission now to HELP others than to GARAGE Sale and find JUNK ... i guess with the kids leaving the nest too ........ My father passed away May 6, 2004 and the pain is not as often but it still hurts as much as it did on that day he went home to be with the Lord. I find myself just roaming about, in my little world and then POOF ........... hits me like a ton of bricks ....... missing him ..... I woke up from a dream of him holding my hand and telling me things are going to be ok ...... Wondering, what is it that's going to be OK ??? My life?? My pain?? My eBay Sales?? As an only child and growing up with a Dad that showed more love for any child than it is possible for any dad to do ....... Now I hunger for that love so many times that it hurts as much as missing his smile ....... I miss him watching my eBay auctions ...... Sounds stupid but he would CHEER me on with my auctions and comment about a GREAT SALE or a GREAT Listing ......... He was proud of how far I had come in eBay land ................. He would brag about me selling JUNK on eBay, being a single mom and paying the electric and all my bills with JUNK I found at a garage sale .......... He loved to see me turn pennies into mortgage payments ................ He would laugh about the dumpster dive I did when Mrs. Jones next door cleaned out her house and I made enough from her TRASH to last me for a 3 months of bills .................... I wanted to encourage all eBay sellers to sign up for the Trading Assistant Program! It sure opens up new doors of opportunity for your selling future! I had a man contact me about selling a car for him! A 1946 Ford car ! I do not know a THING about cars, only that it is Burgundy and pretty!! lol OH and it is OLD! Anyhow, I went to his office and did a photo shoot! He had most of the information already on paper for me so it was pretty easy to copy what he already typed out! I charged him $60.00 up front, non-refundable which is CHEAP compared to others I have spoken with. This is more than fair ESPECIALLY since my listing fees were about 52.00. I should of charged a bit more and I may do that next time! Anyhow, We will see how it goes! The best part is he phoned me up today saying how happy he was with my listing! He said "If that car does not sell, it will NOT be because of my listing" Made me feel like a million bucks!!! Now we wait for 10 days and see how it goes! I will get 10% of the sale plus ebay fees! Saying a prayer all goes smooth! NOW, I wanted to encourage y'all to become a trading assistant! This is not the first time I have sold something for someone else. And If it was a small item I would charge 25% plus ebay fees. UNLESS you are a FAMILY MEMBER ......... ALL FAMILY MEMBERS ARE 50/50!! ;) | |||||||||||||||
