The ORIGINS ReportPosted Jul-03-06 19:23:49 PDT Hey All! Got back from Origins Game Fest last night...we had a great time! Here's a brief rundown of what I did: We got there too late on Thursday to really do anything much, but we got our badges and spent a couple hours wandering around and seeing what all was going on where. On Friday, Erica and I got in on a D&D 'Tournament'. It was really just three tables running a similar adventure, but it was still pretty fun, as I generally don't do a lot of role-playing at cons. Then Erica went off to play Silent Death, and I found myself the Texas Hold'em tournament. Didn't take me too long to lose, and then I spent the rest of the night playing Are You a Werewolf? (I wasn't). Saturday my fun was wandering the Dealer's room and doing lots of Demos. The Order of the Stick boardgame was memorable. I also got to learn to play 'Kobolds Ate My Baby!" (more on the significance of that later). Hi-larious!!! Then we met Matt and his fiance Lori for a big ol' italian dinner. Too pleasantly full after that for more gaming, so that was it. Sunday was shopping day --especially for more sculpting putty, and then packing everything up to go home. My thanks to everyone who stopped by the Z-Man games booth to check out or buy my products, and also to everyone who shopped at Magnificent Egos (especially if you bought the 'Small Dungeon Terrors' set, 'cause I sculpted that one!). I am now home and it is back to business as usual, and getting ready for Gen Con! -Andy |
